The audience thought a goal was coming when Martial Vrijdag got free with Bektaş Veli Tokuz in the 6th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Bektaş Veli Tokuz took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Endre Austnes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. If Edmund Keyes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 17th minute Daren Kelley shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carel Van Hermenghem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. In the 22nd minute, Isto Holttinen ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Carel Van Hermenghem was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Carel Van Hermenghem took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wesley Driscoll, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 28th minute Bartolo Urtzi shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Carel Van Hermenghem saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Stewe getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Lamar Delong hit a great ball. 33 minutes into the game, Wesley Driscoll cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 0-2. Carel Van Hermenghem was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Carel Van Hermenghem came out of the goal in the 36th minute to try and stop a shot by Markham FC's Wesley Driscoll. But to his dismay, Wesley Driscoll quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-3. After some fancy dribbling in the 42nd minute, Wesley Driscoll managed to get in a good position for a shot. Markham FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Wesley Driscoll was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Carel Van Hermenghem breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Bartolo Urtzi scored 0-4 in the 44th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Carel Van Hermenghem, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. After 47 played minutes Markham FC got a freekick which was hit by Kadim Ulaş. Markham FC's Terrell Zuniga was substituted for Orville Bowen. In the 48th match minute, Markham FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Kadim Ulaş to maneuver through the defense. The crowd was extremely unhappy with the home team's performance in the first half. They were losing 0-4.

The wind increased when Isto Holttinen made the kick off in the second half. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bartolo Urtzi in the 56th minute of play forced Stewe's goalkeeper Carel Van Hermenghem to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 57 minutes into the match, Stewe's goal looked a bit too open when Daren Kelley came free, but Carel Van Hermenghem reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Carel Van Hermenghem made an important save on a dangerous shot by Isto Holttinen in the 58th minute. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Vrijdag in the 60th minute of play forced Markham FC's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tokuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 62nd minute of the match, Isto Holttinen got a very nice opportunity to score, but Carel Van Hermenghem was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. An unexpectedly hard shot by Martial Vrijdag in the 64th minute of play forced Markham FC's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tokuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 66th minute, Endre Austnes hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Markham FC made a substitution. Roman Holder replaced Russell Garrett. In the 67th match minute, Stewe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Endre Austnes to maneuver through the defense. Edmund Keyes struck a weak shot in the 70th minute. Bektaş Veli Tokuz didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Stewe. Isto Holttinen in the 75thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Carel Van Hermenghem, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Carel Van Hermenghem showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Wesley Driscoll in the 76th minute of the match. An unexpectedly hard shot by Edmund Keyes in the 79th minute of play forced Markham FC's goalkeeper Bektaş Veli Tokuz to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Stewe were awarded a corner in the 80th minute after Markham FC's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edmund Keyes took the corner. After taking down the ball on Stewe's corner Edmund Keyes fired away a hard shot, but the defenders efficiently covered the most dangerous angles and Bektaş Veli Tokuz quite easily take care of the ball. After some careless play in the Markham FC defense, Martial Vrijdag kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bektaş Veli Tokuz. The Markham FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bektaş Veli Tokuz should have stopped the shot. Isto Holttinen came free with the goalkeeper in the 90th minute of the match, and shot straight on target. The shot was a little too simple and Carel Van Hermenghem could save by the left post. In the 91st match minute, Stewe was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hayden Burley to maneuver through the defense. Monroe Mims sent away a hard shot on goal in the 92nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 93 played minutes Markham FC got a freekick which was hit by Daren Kelley. The Stewe fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Markham FC were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
