Spectators: 8990 (Terracing: 6947, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 162) Terence Nicholas started the match with the kick off in front of an excited audience. Don Malbec recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 3rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Don Malbec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 5th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After some careless play in the Charlotte FC defense, Tyron Velasquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bryant Miles. The Charlotte FC fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bryant Miles should have stopped the shot. The audience was convinced that Don Malbec's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Aaron Smallwood was relentless in the 14th minute of the game. Don Malbec scored 1-1 in the 16th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Aaron Smallwood, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Don Malbec received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 20th minute. Aaron Smallwood tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. 22 minutes into the game, Lanny Gilmore cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 1-2. Bryant Miles was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez, who was totally free with the ball in the 24th minute. The corner ended in Warren Ruiz almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles did a great save. In the 27th match minute, Santos FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tory Weeks to maneuver through the defense. Don Malbec struck a weak shot in the 28th minute. Aaron Smallwood didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Charlotte FC. After a defensive mix-up in Santos FC's zone, Don Malbec stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Aaron Smallwood came out of the goal and Don Malbec tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Lanny Gilmore succeeded in the game's 34th minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 1-3. In the 39th minute, Tyron Velasquez left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Santos FC fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-4. Bryant Miles didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Terence Nicholas went, in the 42nd minute, to the upper right corner, 1-5 was the resulting score. Disappointed in the 1-5 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Don Malbec made a kick off. Bryant Miles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lanny Gilmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 54th minute of the match, Tyron Velasquez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bryant Miles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. In the 57th minute, Don Malbec hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 58 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Bryant Miles had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Lanny Gilmore. Bryant Miles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Terence Nicholas in the 61st minute of play. In the 63rd minute Terence Nicholas shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bryant Miles saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryant Miles came out of the goal in the 63rd minute to try and stop a shot by Santos FC's Terence Nicholas. But to his dismay, Terence Nicholas quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-6. In the 65th minute of the match, Tyron Velasquez tried to roll the ball into the goal by the right post, but Bryant Miles saw his intentions and got control of the ball before it passed the line. An unexpectedly hard shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 69th minute of play forced Charlotte FC's goalkeeper Bryant Miles to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Bryant Miles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Tyron Velasquez in the 72nd minute of play. Charlotte FC's Vicente Rafferty was substituted for Don Malbec. In the 79th minute of the match, Terence Nicholas got a very nice opportunity to score, but Bryant Miles was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. In the 82nd minute, Lanny Gilmore got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vicente Rafferty recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 83rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vicente Rafferty blasted a shot towards the goal in the 86th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Aaron Smallwood having to make a save. In the 87th minute Vicente Rafferty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Aaron Smallwood saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 88 minutes into the match, Charlotte FC's goal looked a bit too open when Tyron Velasquez came free, but Bryant Miles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 89 minutes play. Cesar Small hit a great ball. Aaron Smallwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Vicente Rafferty in the 93rd minute of play. Charlotte FC's Bryant Miles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tyron Velasquez in the 94th minute of play.
