The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Danial McDermott showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Don Malbec, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. The corner ended in Kaja Jamak almost managing to get the ball behind the net, but Chisholm Rookie's Danial McDermott did a great save. In the 7th minute, Bogdan Matela got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Danial McDermott took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Braulio Hitz, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Bryant Miles took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Billy Buck, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Danial McDermott made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jaques Van Mellaert in the 15th minute of play. In the 16th minute Charlotte FC were awarded a corner. Kaja Jamak went to the cornerflag to take it. After 20 played minutes Chisholm Rookie got a freekick which was hit by Jackson Caballero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Kaja Jamak in the 21st minute of play forced Chisholm Rookie's goalkeeper Danial McDermott to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. In the 25th minute Don Malbec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danial McDermott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After 33 minutes, Don Malbec mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Charlotte FC and the Chisholm Rookie players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Chisholm Rookie booed when Charlotte FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 33 match minutes in a wonderful position. Don Malbec didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammed Branch hit a great freekick 35 minutes into the match. Chisholm Rookie's Jackson Caballero got a good chance for a goal in the 40th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 41 played minutes Chisholm Rookie got a freekick which was hit by Billy Buck. The supporters of Charlotte FC booed when Chisholm Rookie was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 43 match minutes in a wonderful position. Leonardo-Ismael Astrada didn't get a good kick on the ball.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Billy Buck made a kick off. Danial McDermott made a fantastic save in the 51st minute, when Don Malbec sent off a good shot on target. After a rather tough play, Chisholm Rookie's Leonardo-Ismael Astrada got a free kick in the 53rd minute. 54 minutes into the match, Chisholm Rookie's goal looked a bit too open when Don Malbec came free, but Danial McDermott reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Chisholm Rookie's Connor Christie quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Braulio Hitz, made in the 60th minute of the game. Mohammed Branch recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 61st minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. In the 62nd minute Don Malbec shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danial McDermott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bryant Miles showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Connor Christie, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. After 68 played minutes Chisholm Rookie got a freekick which was hit by Mohammed Branch. Don Malbec sent away a hard shot on goal in the 69th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 94th minute Vicente Rafferty shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Danial McDermott saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. A collision led to Charlotte FC getting a freekick after 95 minutes play. Bogdan Matela hit a great ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Chisholm Rookie fans cheered their team off the field, for while Charlotte FC had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
