After a defensive mix-up in Brown Deer AFC's zone, Teodoro Uster stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jack Harrison came out of the goal and Teodoro Uster tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. The supporters of Brown Deer AFC booed when Colonie FC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 14 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bailey Erwin didn't get a good kick on the ball. Jack Harrison took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Russell Seals, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Rubin Milton could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 21st minute of the match, but Lonnie Blankenship made a huge save. Lonnie Blankenship made a fantastic save in the 24th minute, when Wiley Enriquez sent off a good shot on target. Jack Harrison showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Teodoro Uster in the 26th minute of the match. Disappointed in the 1-2 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Wiley Enriquez was the one to do the kick off. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Through an outstanding action, after 96 minutes, Jack Harrison successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. In the 97th minute of the match Colonie FC got a corner. Brown Deer AFC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Preston Simons ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led Colonie FC's Preston Simons to fire away a dangerous shot which Jack Harrison despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball.
