Jospeh McNally dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. An unexpectedly hard shot by Gerardo Beard in the 8th minute of play forced Santos FC's goalkeeper Aaron Smallwood to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Aaron Smallwood showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Gerardo Beard in the 11th minute of the match. Walter Spivey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 13th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. 18 minutes into the match, Santos FC's Lanny Gilmore sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Jospeh McNally narrowly saved just below the crossbar. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Rickey Ewing during the 22nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Brooklyn SC's Rickey Ewing got a free kick in the 22nd minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Tyron Velasquez in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jospeh McNally prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Lanny Gilmore scored 0-2 in the 27th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jospeh McNally, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Tyron Velasquez scored 0-3 in the 30th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Jospeh McNally, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 33rd minute Lanny Gilmore shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jospeh McNally saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The audience thought a goal was coming when Gerardo Beard got free with Aaron Smallwood in the 44th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Gerardo Beard recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 45th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. The Brooklyn SC players were disheartened as they walked off the pitch after the first half. Santos FC were winning 0-3.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Gerardo Beard made a kick off. Santos FC's Titus Kohler managed, thanks to a brazen rush, stole the ball on a throw-in made by Rickey Ewing in the 54 minute of the game. Jospeh McNally made a fantastic save in the 64th minute, when Tyron Velasquez sent off a good shot on target. Jospeh McNally took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Lanny Gilmore, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Aaron Smallwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Trenton Long in the 67th minute of play. In the 67th minute, Dwight Schrute hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. When Titus Kohler fell near the penalty area in the 69th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Santos FC's protests and gave Titus Kohler a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Santos FC getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Titus Kohler hit a great ball. Santos FC's attentive Titus Kohler managed to snatch the ball when Rickey Ewing made a throw-in in the 71st minute of the game. 74 minutes into the match, Brooklyn SC's goalkeeper Jospeh McNally had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Tyron Velasquez. Aaron Smallwood made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Walter Spivey in the 76th minute of play. Aaron Smallwood took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Gerardo Beard, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Brooklyn SC's Eddie Zamora was substituted for Gerardo Beard. Lanny Gilmore could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 87th minute of the match, but Jospeh McNally made a huge save. The Brooklyn SC supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Santos FC's performance. The match ended with a win for Santos FC.
