Spectators: 6970 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1970, VIP seats: 0) Lengua Fire's Mustapha Duprey started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Everald Savary struck a weak shot in the 3rd minute. Hayden Hussein didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Bamboo Village Stars. Sherwin Gopee-Scoon fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Hayden Hussein having to interfere. An unexpectedly hard shot by Everald Savary in the 6th minute of play forced Lengua Fire's goalkeeper Hayden Hussein to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Angus Chanté during the 7th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Bamboo Village Stars booed when Lengua Fire was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 7 match minutes in a wonderful position. Angus Chanté didn't get a good kick on the ball. Mohammed Whitley made a fantastic save in the 11th minute, when Junia Kenny sent off a good shot on target. Angus Chanté hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Mustapha Duprey sent away a hard shot on goal in the 17th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 19th minute, Mustapha Duprey got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Angus Chanté hit a great freekick 26 minutes into the match. 30 minutes into the match, Lengua Fire's goal looked a bit too open when Everald Savary came free, but Hayden Hussein reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. A collision led to Lengua Fire getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Hector Patterson hit a great ball. In the 32nd minute, Sherwin Gopee-Scoon got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hayden Hussein made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel Baptiste in the 39th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Lengua Fire's Hector Patterson got a free kick in the 47th minute. Samuel Stalin took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 48th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Hayden Hussein. Lengua Fire's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Sherwin Gopee-Scoon made a kick off. 52 minutes into the game, Sherwin Gopee-Scoon recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of Hayden Hussein. Sherwin Gopee-Scoon showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 0-1. Sherwin Gopee-Scoon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 63rd minute. Hayden Hussein tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 64th match minute, Lengua Fire was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Hector Patterson to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 65 minutes, Sherwin Gopee-Scoon managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Bamboo Village Stars's supporters crossed their fingers, but Sherwin Gopee-Scoon was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Everald Savary recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 70th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Bamboo Village Stars's Sherwin Gopee-Scoon got a good chance for a goal in the 74th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. After 78 played minutes Bamboo Village Stars got a freekick which was hit by Graph Ramgoonai. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Junia Kenny in the 79th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Mohammed Whitley prevented the ball from getting in the gole. In the 86th minute, Everald Savary got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Hector Patterson hit a great freekick 87 minutes into the match. When the final whistle sounded Bamboo Village Stars left the ground with the victory after a much better performance than Lengua Fire.
