Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Lengua FC's Arthur Raymond Lyons started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. A collision led to Lengua FC getting a freekick after 3 minutes play. The audience was convinced that Sterling Scott's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Jerren Panday was relentless in the 13th minute of the game. In the 15th minute of the match Trinbago Allstars got a corner. Lengua FC's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Sam Blake ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner went over the outstretched arms of Lengua FC's goalie and right to Roodal Yorke. He fired away a shot at goal, but the shot had too much spin, and it went just outside the goal. Lengua FC's manager breathed a sigh of relief on the sidelines as his team had managed to escape an almost certain goal. After a rather tough play, Trinbago Allstars's Darrem Robinson got a free kick in the 19th minute. After some fancy dribbling in the 20th minute, Arthur Raymond Lyons managed to get in a good position for a shot. Lengua FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Arthur Raymond Lyons was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Growling Orminston Abdulah breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The supporters of Lengua FC booed when Trinbago Allstars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 22 match minutes in a wonderful position. Bill Duprey didn't get a good kick on the ball. Nigel Lassalle who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 28thth minute tested the skills of Growling Orminston Abdulah when he managed to save the team from getting behind. Arthur Raymond Lyons fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 29th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Growling Orminston Abdulah having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Trinbago Allstars's zone, Nigel Lassalle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Growling Orminston Abdulah came out of the goal and Nigel Lassalle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Growling Orminston Abdulah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Arthur Raymond Lyons, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After having played for 37 minutes, Arthur Raymond Lyons managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lengua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Arthur Raymond Lyons was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Trinbago Allstars's zone, Nigel Lassalle stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Growling Orminston Abdulah came out of the goal and Nigel Lassalle tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. With a little luck, Trinbago Allstars's Growling Orminston Abdulah got control of the ball when Nigel Lassalle tried to sneak it across the goal line. Growling Orminston Abdulah made an important save on a dangerous shot by Nigel Lassalle in the 49th minute. After the first half Trinbago Allstars were leading 0-1. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Darrem Caton to strike the kick off in the second half. Sterling Scott recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 54th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. When Arthur Raymond Lyons came up free with the goalie in the 58th minute, the Lengua FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Arthur Raymond Lyons couldn't finish the play. Arthur Raymond Lyons took the ball and in the 61 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Growling Orminston Abdulah. Growling Orminston Abdulah dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. After having played for 70 minutes, Chris Baksh managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Lengua FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Chris Baksh was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Sterling Scott had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar instead. Lengua FC's Jerren Panday played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Darrem Caton in the 78th minute of play. Growling Orminston Abdulah showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arthur Raymond Lyons, who was totally free with the ball in the 80th minute. Growling Orminston Abdulah took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Nigel Lassalle, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A wasted opportunity for Lengua FC. It was no surprise that this one had ended in a win for the home team. Lengua FC had played much better football throughout.
