Spectators: 6944 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1944, VIP seats: 0) Brighton SC's Collin String Band started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 13 minutes into the match, Brighton SC's goal looked a bit too open when Fitzgerald Scotland came free, but Neville Guiness reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Kieron Kernahan took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Collin String Band, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Fitzgerald Scotland sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. In the 22nd minute, Arima's Nicholas Baptiste seemed to kick out at an opponent. The referee saw this and, surprisingly, showed Nicholas Baptiste the red card, dismissing him from the pitch. The coaching staff of Arima protested bitterly, but the referee would have none of it, and Nicholas Baptiste had no choice but to slowly walk off the pitch. In a very dangerous position, a player in Arima fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 22nd minute. Penalty! Kieron Kernahan went to the wrong direction when Gregory Maharaj was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. After a rather tough play, Brighton SC's Gillian Armitage got a free kick in the 25th minute. Sherwin Titus fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 27th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neville Guiness having to interfere. Collin String Band sent away a hard shot on goal in the 28th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After a rather tough play, Arima's Fitzgerald Scotland got a free kick in the 30th minute. Gregory Maharaj was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 31st played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. Collin String Band took the ball and in the 40 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kieron Kernahan. Kieron Kernahan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-1. Collin String Band blasted a shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Kieron Kernahan having to make a save. In the 48th minute, Kieron Shepard hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

54 minutes into the match, Brighton SC's goal looked a bit too open when Sherwin Titus came free, but Neville Guiness reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. If Lendl Ramadhin had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. When Lendl Ramadhin came up free with the goalie in the 70th minute, the Brighton SC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Lendl Ramadhin couldn't finish the play. Kieron Kernahan made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Collin String Band in the 72nd minute of play. In the 75th minute, Lendl Ramadhin ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Kieron Kernahan was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-2. Joel Ayoung-Chee charged in rather forcefully in the 83rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Joel Ayoung-Chee the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 83rd match minute, Arima was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Joel Ayoung-Chee to maneuver through the defense. In the 87th minute, Brighton SC's Collin String Band ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Kieron Kernahan. Kieron Kernahan yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 1-3. When Sherwin Titus came up free with the goalie in the 91st minute, the Arima fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Sherwin Titus couldn't finish the play. Lendl Ramadhin received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 96th minute. Kieron Kernahan tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Brighton SC's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
