They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

Geddes Bissambhar who was well placed in front of the goal fired away a dangerous shot that in the 66thth minute tested the skills of Vasant Fabien when he managed to save the team from getting behind. When Krishna Prospect came up free with the goalie in the 69th minute, the Mayaro fans jumped to their feet. After a defensive mix-up in La Seiva Strikers's zone, Krishna Prospect stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Vasant Fabien came out of the goal and Krishna Prospect tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 81st minute the ball was on its way in behind La Seiva Strikers's goalkeeper Vasant Fabien, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 85 minutes into the match, La Seiva Strikers's Ato Millette sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Adesh Doig narrowly saved just below the crossbar. William Ward Redman sent away a hard shot on goal in the 93rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After some careless play in the Mayaro defense, Ato Millette kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Adesh Doig. The Mayaro fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Adesh Doig should have stopped the shot. Jeers came from both ends of the stadium when the final whistle went. Neither team had looked impressive and the draw seeemd a fair result.
