Spectators: 6956 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1956, VIP seats: 0) Delaford Falcons's Permanand Abraham started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. After having played for 5 minutes, Rex de Souza managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Tobago Gulls's supporters crossed their fingers, but Rex de Souza was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. A collision led to Tobago Gulls getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Rex de Souza hit a great ball. In the 13th minute of the match Nyron Sant sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Bas Mathur skillfully saved the ball. Bas Mathur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Wilmoth Assoon's shot from short distance in the 14th minute. Bas Mathur made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Adesh Jai in the 15th minute of play. 16 minutes had been played when some careless play by Delaford Falcons's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Makandal Bradley was slow to take the kick. During this time Tobago Gulls's players had a chance to rest. If Wilmoth Assoon had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 20th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Gillian Panday hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. In the 28th minute Permanand Abraham shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornell Nakhid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Delaford Falcons's zone, Wilmoth Assoon stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Bas Mathur came out of the goal and Wilmoth Assoon tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tobago Gulls's Lewis Najjar got a good chance for a goal in the 31st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. 33 minutes into the match, Delaford Falcons's goal looked a bit too open when Wilmoth Assoon came free, but Bas Mathur reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Bas Mathur showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Rex de Souza, who was totally free with the ball in the 35th minute. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Standiford Balkissoon during the 36th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. The supporters of Tobago Gulls booed when Delaford Falcons was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 36 match minutes in a wonderful position. Standiford Balkissoon didn't get a good kick on the ball. Bas Mathur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Makandal Bradley, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. 38 minutes into the game, Rex de Souza was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Tobago Gulls's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Delaford Falcons the free kick. The supporters of Delaford Falcons booed when Tobago Gulls was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 38 match minutes in a wonderful position. Rex de Souza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 42nd match minute, Tobago Gulls was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Gillian Panday to maneuver through the defense. Delaford Falcons's Colm Grant couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 43rd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for Tobago Gulls. 46 minutes into the game, Tobago Gulls's Lewis Najjar nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Bas Mathur made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-2. After the first half Tobago Gulls were leading 0-2. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 52nd minute, Nyron Sant hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 56th minute, Tobago Gulls's Wilmoth Assoon dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 0-3. Wilmoth Assoon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 59th minute. Bas Mathur tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Tobago Gulls's Cornell Nakhid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ricky Hunte in the 62nd minute of play. In the 64th minute Edgar Gopee-Scoon shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Cornell Nakhid saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Bas Mathur stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Lewis Najjar's shot from short distance in the 65th minute. Bas Mathur took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Wilmoth Assoon, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cornell Nakhid took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Drupatee Duke, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 75th minute, Permanand Abraham left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Delaford Falcons fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-3. Cornell Nakhid showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edgar Gopee-Scoon, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Lewis Najjar kicked well hit freekick during the 82nd minute of the match. Gillian Panday hit a great freekick 84 minutes into the match. After a rather tough play, Tobago Gulls's Gillian Panday got a free kick in the 88th minute. Edgar Gopee-Scoon received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 89th minute. Cornell Nakhid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The audience was convinced that Lewis Najjar's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Bas Mathur was relentless in the 93rd minute of the game. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Tobago Gulls eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
