In the 3rd match minute, Bon Accord Strikers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Bob Jagdeosingh to maneuver through the defense. Ansil Gomes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Lionel Chacón, who was totally free with the ball in the 4th minute. When Lennox Joseph fell near the penalty area in the 5th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bon Accord Strikers's protests and gave Lennox Joseph a yellow card for diving instead. After a rather tough play, Bon Accord Strikers's Lennox Joseph got a free kick in the 5th minute. If Tishan Shakes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 8th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. A collision led to Point Lisas getting a freekick after 10 minutes play. Joseph Aleong hit a great ball. 12 minutes into the game, Bon Accord Strikers's Maxwell Ramjohn nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Russel Hyland made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 0-1. In the 16th minute, Maxwell Ramjohn got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Lionel Chacón fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 23rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ansil Gomes having to interfere. In the 24th match minute, Bon Accord Strikers was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lennox Joseph to maneuver through the defense. Ansil Gomes showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Lionel Chacón in the 26th minute of the match. 32 minutes into the match, Bon Accord Strikers's goal looked a bit too open when Lionel Chacón came free, but Ansil Gomes reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Lionel Chacón struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Ansil Gomes didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Point Lisas. Dwayne Hamel-Smith hit a great freekick 41 minutes into the match. Lionel Chacón received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 43rd minute. Ansil Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Lionel Chacón managed to get in a good position for a shot. Point Lisas's supporters rose to their feet, but Lionel Chacón was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ansil Gomes breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Ansil Gomes took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tishan Shakes, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Ansil Gomes made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Lionel Chacón in the 56th minute of play. Point Lisas's Russel Hyland played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Maxwell Ramjohn in the 61st minute of play. When Nizar Adams fell near the penalty area in the 63rd minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Bon Accord Strikers's protests and gave Nizar Adams a yellow card for diving instead. Nizar Adams hit a great freekick 63 minutes into the match. Tishan Shakes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 69th minute. Ansil Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. During the 70th minute of the match Lennox Joseph completely mistimed his tackle and brought down his opponent. The referee gave Lennox Joseph a yellow card, his second in the match, which meant he could no longer take part in the game. After 70 played minutes Bon Accord Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Lennox Joseph. Ato Sawh sent away a hard shot on goal in the 74th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 76th minute, Anand Chacón got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tishan Shakes received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 81st minute. Ansil Gomes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Tishan Shakes had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 84th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead.
