Isaiah Sammy fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 3rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Khaleem Abdul-Hamid having to interfere. Navet's Francis Beetham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Ernani Bueno in the 5th minute of play. If Isaiah Sammy had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Navet booed when Punta Pigeon was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 11 match minutes in a wonderful position. Teddy Daaga didn't get a good kick on the ball. In a very dangerous position, a player in Navet fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 19th minute. Penalty! Philip Sammy shot the penalty kick right outside the post. Francis Beetham stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ernani Bueno's shot from short distance in the 29th minute. In the 32nd minute, Roderick Ogunbanke hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Ernani Bueno fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 40th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Francis Beetham having to interfere. After 41 played minutes Navet got a freekick which was hit by Nicholas Lyons. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Ernani Bueno scored 0-1 in the 56th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Francis Beetham, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 59th minute, Ernani Bueno left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Punta Pigeon fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 0-2. In the 62nd minute, Punta Pigeon's Ernani Bueno ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Francis Beetham. Francis Beetham yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-3. Isaiah Sammy hit a great freekick 66 minutes into the match. In the 67th minute, Philip Sammy got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. 71 minutes into the match, Navet's goal looked a bit too open when Ernani Bueno came free, but Francis Beetham reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After 72 played minutes Navet got a freekick which was hit by Roderick Ogunbanke. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Ernani Bueno in the 75th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Francis Beetham saved Navet from getting behind. Punta Pigeon's Darryl Glen got a good chance for a goal in the 76th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 78th minute, Ernani Bueno fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Francis Beetham, passed just outside the right post. 78 minutes in the game, Ernani Bueno dribbled his way through the penalty area and after maneuvering past an opponent, drilled a quick shot at the goal. The ball looked like it was going in, but it was hit a bit too hard and flew over the goal. Punta Pigeon's Khaleem Abdul-Hamid played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rupert Best in the 82nd minute of play. Oliver Mohan kicked well hit freekick during the 84th minute of the match. Francis Beetham made an important save on a dangerous shot by Ernani Bueno in the 85th minute. Ernani Bueno struck a weak shot in the 88th minute. Francis Beetham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Punta Pigeon. Ernani Bueno didn't miss a given chance and shot in short distance 0-4 via right post in the game's 93rd minute. Punta Pigeon's supporters showed their exhuberating excitement! The Navet fans had already started to leave before the final whistle blew. Punta Pigeon were clearly better and deserved to take the win.
