Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Boscoe Medina made the kick off which started today's match. Bas Holder received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 3rd minute. Canute Abdul-Hamid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Boscoe Medina took the ball and in the 5 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Kern Mohan. Kern Mohan dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-0. 10 minutes had been played when some careless play by San Fernando Fire's defense caused the ball to cross the line for a corner. Bob Sinanan was slow to take the kick. During this time Eckel Village's players had a chance to rest. In the 11th minute Permanand St Clair shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Kern Mohan saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Ato Jabari Jaggernauth fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 12th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kern Mohan having to interfere. After some fancy dribbling in the 18th minute, Brother Ros managed to get in a good position for a shot. San Fernando Fire's supporters rose to their feet, but Brother Ros was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Canute Abdul-Hamid breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Colm Bell hit a great freekick 21 minutes into the match. Eckel Village's Bob Sinanan couldn't find anyone to pass the ball to, so he shot a long shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute. The shot went wide which resulted in a goal kick for San Fernando Fire. After a defensive mix-up in Eckel Village's zone, Shurwayne Ramjohn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Canute Abdul-Hamid came out of the goal and Shurwayne Ramjohn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Fuad Hill fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Canute Abdul-Hamid having to interfere. Shurwayne Ramjohn received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 34th minute. Canute Abdul-Hamid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. With a little luck, San Fernando Fire's Kern Mohan got control of the ball when Boscoe Medina tried to sneak it across the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Eckel Village's zone, Shurwayne Ramjohn stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Canute Abdul-Hamid came out of the goal and Shurwayne Ramjohn tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 47th match minute, Eckel Village was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Boscoe Medina to maneuver through the defense. Rawle Mohan, 48 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Fuad Hill stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. In the 55th minute of the match San Fernando Fire got a corner. Eckel Village's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Rawle Mohan ran over to the corner to take the kick. The corner led San Fernando Fire's Bas Holder to a score. 1-1 in the 55th minute. Fuad Hill received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 62nd minute. Canute Abdul-Hamid tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Fuad Hill received a nice pass, split the defenders, and ran untouched towards the goal. Canute Abdul-Hamid came out and tried to block the shot, but Fuad Hill slotted it home off the left post making it 1-2 in the 64th minute. Boscoe Medina fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 70th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Kern Mohan having to interfere. Eckel Village's defense didn't have a chance, in the 73rd minute, when Fuad Hill scored to the left of an out of position Canute Abdul-Hamid, making the score, 1-3. If Fuad Hill had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 83rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Kern Mohan showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Boscoe Medina in the 85th minute of the match. Ato Jabari Jaggernauth recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 92nd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Fuad Hill in the 95th minute of play forced Eckel Village's goalkeeper Canute Abdul-Hamid to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The supporters of San Fernando Fire booed when Eckel Village was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 96 match minutes in a wonderful position. Ato Jabari Jaggernauth didn't get a good kick on the ball. Rawle Mohan was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 97th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. San Fernando Fire walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
