The Scarborough Town fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Krishna Taitt should have stopped the shot. When Paolo Ramkisson came up free with the goalie in the 25th minute, the FC Nacional fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Paolo Ramkisson couldn't finish the play. After a defensive mix-up in FC Nacional's zone, Surujrattan Baboolal stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Cipriano Virila came out of the goal and Surujrattan Baboolal tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 30 minutes into the game, Standiford Yorke was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Scarborough Town's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave FC Nacional the free kick. A collision led to Scarborough Town getting a freekick after 30 minutes play. Standiford Yorke hit a great ball. 32 minutes into the game, FC Nacional's Güray Altunışık nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Krishna Taitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 5-0. After 36 played minutes Scarborough Town got a freekick which was hit by Frank Browne. Güray Altunışık sent away a hard shot on goal in the 37th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Nyron Montano kicked well hit freekick during the 44th minute of the match. With a little luck, Scarborough Town's Krishna Taitt got control of the ball when Lucas Beltran tried to sneak it across the goal line. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 5-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Surujrattan Baboolal stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Bertie Wolfe scored 6-0 in the 61st match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Krishna Taitt, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Surujrattan Baboolal struck a weak shot in the 67th minute. Cipriano Virila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Scarborough Town. FC Nacional's Scott Garcia was substituted for Bertie Wolfe. FC Nacional made a substitution. Michael Ekenberg replaced Aurelio Florian. A collision led to FC Nacional getting a freekick after 69 minutes play. Errol Ogunbanke hit a great ball. Scott Garcia's late challenge caught a Scarborough Town's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Scott Garcia helped the player get up and apologised. Scott Garcia hit a great freekick 94 minutes into the match.
