Iskandar Seng took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Orville Popo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Alves charged in rather forcefully in the 24th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Nicolas Alves the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The supporters of ΛΞΥΛ booed when Defence Force was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 25 match minutes in a wonderful position. Nicolas Alves didn't get a good kick on the ball. Smail Toumi kicked well hit freekick during the 26th minute of the match. 29 minutes into the game, Mihail Novac recieved a splendid long ball, split the defenders, and gently placed the ball to the left of M. Dedy Suryana. Mihail Novac showed that you don't have to tear a hole in the net to score, 1-1. Iskandar Seng stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Nicolas Alves's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. 37 minutes into the game, Defence Force's Nicolas Alves nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Iskandar Seng made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2. If Gaffar Bozok had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 48th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 1-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

After 51 minutes, Mihail Novac mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the ΛΞΥΛ and the Defence Force players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 51st match minute, ΛΞΥΛ was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mihail Novac to maneuver through the defense. After a rather tough play, Defence Force's Shurwayne Rampartap got a free kick in the 55th minute. Alvaro Aresti charged in rather forcefully in the 59th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Alvaro Aresti the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The goalkeeper, Iskandar Seng, was totally fooled by Defence Force's Cornelius Ramkisson, who 61 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Aadil Al Sallal kicked well hit freekick during the 64th minute of the match. 70 minutes into the match, ΛΞΥΛ's goal looked a bit too open when Chrrstine Magloire came free, but Iskandar Seng reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. When Orville Popo fell near the penalty area in the 71st minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Defence Force's protests and gave Orville Popo a yellow card for diving instead. After 71 played minutes Defence Force got a freekick which was hit by Orville Popo. M. Dedy Suryana showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Mihail Novac in the 77th minute of the match. 82 minutes into the match, ΛΞΥΛ's goalkeeper Iskandar Seng had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Rudranath de Freitas. In the 89th minute ΛΞΥΛ were awarded a corner. Hubert Ramkisson went to the cornerflag to take it. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Defence Force had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
