Spectators: 5000 (Terracing: 4000, Seating: 1000, VIP seats: 0) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Surujrattan Baboolal started the match with the kick off. Krishna Taitt didn't succeed in stopping the ball in the 4th minute, which inside left pole to 1-0. Standiford String Band received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Krishna Taitt tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Standiford Yorke had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 17th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After 19 played minutes Scarborough Town got a freekick which was hit by Surujrattan Baboolal. Standiford String Band fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Krishna Taitt having to interfere. The audience thought a goal was coming when Standiford String Band got free with Krishna Taitt in the 22nd minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Julius Partap scored 1-1 in the 28th match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Clyde Chambers, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. Fitzgerald Wolfe might have been able to make a better finish in the 34th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Krishna Taitt. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Fitzgerald Wolfe ran back to his position shaking his head. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Raffique Mannette in the 37th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Krishna Taitt saved Scarborough Town from getting behind. In the 38th minute, Chaguanas Strikers's Fitzgerald Wolfe dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 2-1. 44 minutes into the match, Scarborough Town's goal looked a bit too open when Raffique Mannette came free, but Krishna Taitt reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Standiford String Band stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. 53 minutes into the game, Standiford String Band cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 3-1. Krishna Taitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. When Raffique Mannette came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Chaguanas Strikers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raffique Mannette couldn't finish the play. In the 64th match minute, Scarborough Town was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Seepersad Lewis to maneuver through the defense. Kern Achong blasted a shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Krishna Taitt having to make a save. After 80 minutes, Seepersad Lewis mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Scarborough Town and the Chaguanas Strikers players grew even worse after the yellow card. Seepersad Lewis hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. After 81 minutes of play, Chaguanas Strikers's Standiford String Band made it 4-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Krishna Taitt was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Fitzgerald Wolfe in the 85th minute of play forced Scarborough Town's goalkeeper Krishna Taitt to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. A collision led to Scarborough Town getting a freekick after 86 minutes play. Standiford Yorke hit a great ball. Krishna Taitt showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Standiford String Band in the 88th minute of the match. The attack was good, but when Standiford String Band in the 88th minute was about to shoot he didn't kick quite good enough and the ball went high over goal. 90 minutes into the game, Standiford String Band cracked a shot to the right of the goalkeeper, 5-1. Krishna Taitt was not in position, and could only watch the ball fly in. In the 94th minute, Standiford String Band ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Krishna Taitt was frozen by the shot and now it was 6-1.
