Sundar Glasgow recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 43rd minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. F.C. Liverpool Tobago's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Craig Callendar in the 47th minute. Disappointed in the 0-1 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Anton Phipps was the one to do the kick off. After 55 minutes, Nicolas Alves mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Defence Force and the F.C. Liverpool Tobago players grew even worse after the yellow card. An unexpectedly hard shot by Anton Phipps in the 57th minute of play forced Defence Force's goalkeeper M. Dedy Suryana to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The Defence Force fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 1-2. Chrrstine Magloire struck a weak shot in the 81st minute. Palaimon Gomatos didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defence Force. Palaimon Gomatos showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Chrrstine Magloire in the 85th minute of the match. Palaimon Gomatos showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nicolas Alves, who was totally free with the ball in the 90th minute. When the final whistle was heard the away supporters stood up and showed their joy. Defence Force had managed to secure a win in what was a close match throughout.
