After a defensive mix-up in Carapichaima's zone, Anton Phipps stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jonathan Tiger came out of the goal and Anton Phipps tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 13 minutes into the match, Anton Phipps had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Jonathan Tiger. Carapichaima's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Anton Phipps was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. The F.C. Liverpool Tobago fans' excitement grew in the 20th match minute when F.C. Liverpool Tobago's Franklin Mitchell-Gift looked to have a clear shot with the ball near the goal. In the 92ndth minute of the game Franklin Mitchell-Gift who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Carapichaima's Jonathan Tiger was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. F.C. Liverpool Tobago's players went to the stands to thank the travelling support. The fan's backing had helped spurr the team on to a fine performance that won them the match.
