Spectators: 7600 (Terracing: 5500, Seating: 2000, VIP seats: 100) Chaguanas Strikers's Standiford String Band started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Ralph Charles showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Standiford String Band in the 4th minute of the match. Under 21 Club's Ralph Charles played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Standiford String Band in the 7th minute of play. The audience thought a goal was coming when Dominic Connell got free with Clyde Chambers in the 12th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. Chaguanas Strikers's André Sinanan quite brazenly broke a throw-in by Brother St Clair, made in the 17th minute of the game. After 19 played minutes Chaguanas Strikers got a freekick which was hit by Edgar Mortimer Emrit. Clyde Chambers took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Winston Castagne, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Raffique Mannette scored 0-1 in the 23rd match minute with a shot that went into the goal to the right of Ralph Charles, who was just a little too slow in reacting to the shot. In the 27th minute, André Sinanan got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Winston Castagne took the ball and in the 28 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Clyde Chambers. Clyde Chambers dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 1-1. 32 minutes into the match, Under 21 Club's goal looked a bit too open when Raffique Mannette came free, but Ralph Charles reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a defensive mix-up in Under 21 Club's zone, Krishna Bednob stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Ralph Charles came out of the goal and Krishna Bednob tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 41 minutes, André Sinanan mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Chaguanas Strikers and the Under 21 Club players grew even worse after the yellow card. A collision led to Chaguanas Strikers getting a freekick after 41 minutes play. André Sinanan hit a great ball. The first half was very even, with the score at 1-1 when the whistle went for half-time. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

Dennis Leslie charged in rather forcefully in the 51st minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Dennis Leslie the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. Dennis Leslie hit a great freekick 51 minutes into the match. After 66 played minutes Under 21 Club got a freekick which was hit by Dwight Eversley McLean. When Raffique Mannette came up free with the goalie in the 67th minute, the Chaguanas Strikers fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Raffique Mannette couldn't finish the play. Raffique Mannette was extremely unlucky when he, in the 76th minute, took a shot that hit the right post and went out. Ralph Charles made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Standiford String Band in the 80th minute of play. After a rather tough play, Under 21 Club's Dwight Eversley McLean got a free kick in the 83rd minute. In the 83rd minute, Standiford String Band got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. After a rather tough play, Chaguanas Strikers's André Sinanan got a free kick in the 88th minute. When Cornelius Latapy came up free with the goalie in the 89th minute, the Under 21 Club fans jumped to their feet.
