FC Nacional's supporters rose to their feet, but Güray Altunışık was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Neville Mc Donald breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Lucas Beltran made a well adjusted shot against goal in the 43rdth minute coming free in front of the goal, but Neville Mc Donald would not let the ball come through at any expense and made a nice save by the left post. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 4-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Beltran to make the kick off. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Güray Altunışık couldn't finish the play. FC Nacional's Michael Ekenberg was substituted for Aurelio Florian. Chaguanas AC's Neville Mc Donald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Scott Garcia in the 70th minute of play. Güray Altunışık took the ball and in the 73 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Neville Mc Donald. Neville Mc Donald dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 5-1. The supporters of Chaguanas AC booed when FC Nacional was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 80 match minutes in a wonderful position. Güray Altunışık didn't get a good kick on the ball. The audience was convinced that Paolo Ramkisson's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neville Mc Donald was relentless in the 87th minute of the game. Chaguanas AC's Neville Mc Donald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Güray Altunışık in the 89th minute of play. Scott Garcia fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 92nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neville Mc Donald having to interfere. FC Nacional's Cipriano Virila proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 94th minute of the match, managed to save FC Nacional from getting a goal against them.
