The Endeavour Stars fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Marlon La Forest should have stopped the shot. Edward Greenidge fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Palaimon Gomatos having to interfere. Endeavour Stars's Marlon La Forest played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Franklin Mitchell-Gift in the 16th minute of play. The supporters of F.C. Liverpool Tobago booed when Endeavour Stars was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 18 match minutes in a wonderful position. Dave Capildeo didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 18 played minutes, F.C. Liverpool Tobago's Craig Callendar shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Marlon La Forest came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in F.C. Liverpool Tobago reached it. Marlon La Forest showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Jan Sooklal in the 20th minute of the match. Palaimon Gomatos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Edward Greenidge in the 22nd minute of play. Endeavour Stars were awarded a corner in the 25th minute after F.C. Liverpool Tobago's defender lost control of the ball, allowing it to roll out over the line. Edward Greenidge took the corner. Endeavour Stars's Edward Greenidge was first on the ball when the corner was shot and he dangerously headed the ball towards goal, but Palaimon Gomatos in the goal jumped up to prevent it from getting in. Palaimon Gomatos was out of position in the 27 minute of play, and Edward Greenidge capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Edward Greenidge really showed his touch with that goal: 1-1. Clive Murray lost his temper 30 minutes into the game and shoved another player to the ground. He was immediately shown a red card. Clive Murray kicked well hit freekick during the 31st minute of the match. After a defensive mix-up in Endeavour Stars's zone, Craig Callendar stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Marlon La Forest came out of the goal and Craig Callendar tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. David Jones's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 40thth minute, Palaimon Gomatos skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Marlon La Forest made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Franklin Mitchell-Gift in the 44th minute of play. 45 minutes into the game, F.C. Liverpool Tobago's Anton Phipps nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Marlon La Forest made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 1-2.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. David Jones was the one to do the kick off. A hard, long distance shot from Lancelot Gonsalves flew over the goal. Jan Sooklal hit a great freekick 56 minutes into the match. Marlon La Forest showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Franklin Mitchell-Gift in the 58th minute of the match. Marlon La Forest showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Franklin Mitchell-Gift, who was totally free with the ball in the 64th minute. Liverpool Tobago's Craig Callendar to fire away a dangerous shot which Marlon La Forest despite some difficulties managed to get hold on the ball. 78 minutes into the match, Endeavour Stars's goal looked a bit too open when Franklin Mitchell-Gift came free, but Marlon La Forest reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Edward Greenidge during the 80th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Palaimon Gomatos came out of the goal and Lancelot Gonsalves tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After a rather tough play, F.C. Liverpool Tobago's Sundar Glasgow got a free kick in the 86th minute. Dave Capildeo hit a great freekick 93 minutes into the match. Anton Phipps could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 94th minute of the match, but Marlon La Forest made a huge save. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched F.C. Liverpool Tobago eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
