Dedy Suryana reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. In the 11th match minute, FC Nacional was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucas Beltran to maneuver through the defense. Orville Popo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 17th minute. Cipriano Virila tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Cipriano Virila didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Defence Force. Cipriano Virila made a fantastic save in the 34th minute, when Rudranath de Freitas sent off a good shot on target. M. Dedy Suryana took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Güray Altunışık, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Nicolas Alves struck a weak shot in the 42nd minute. Both sets of players seemed reasonably pleased with how the match was going.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Lucas Beltran to make the kick off. 51 minutes into the match, Rudranath de Freitas notched a goal, 1-0, to the right of FC Nacional's Cipriano Virila. The referee ignored Defence Force's protests and gave Cornelius Ramkisson a yellow card for diving instead. Güray Altunışık fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without M. Dedy Suryana having to interfere.
