The audience thought a goal was coming when Rex Duprey got free with Krishna Taitt in the 11th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. If Julius Partap had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 16th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The audience was convinced that Standiford Yorke's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Neville Mc Donald was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. Chaguanas AC's Neville Mc Donald played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Surujrattan Baboolal in the 22nd minute of play. The supporters of Chaguanas AC booed when Scarborough Town was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 26 match minutes in a wonderful position. Surujrattan Baboolal didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 27th minute Rex Duprey shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Krishna Taitt saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Surujrattan Baboolal fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Neville Mc Donald having to interfere. Neville Mc Donald showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Surujrattan Baboolal, who was totally free with the ball in the 40th minute. 43 minutes into the game, Lauderic Betancourt was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Chaguanas AC's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Scarborough Town the free kick. In the 43rd match minute, Chaguanas AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lauderic Betancourt to maneuver through the defense. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Standiford Yorke in the 46th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Neville Mc Donald prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Neville Mc Donald took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Surujrattan Baboolal, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Chaguanas AC getting a freekick after 47 minutes play. Philmore Goddard hit a great ball. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

After 59 played minutes Chaguanas AC got a freekick which was hit by Philmore Goddard. Chaguanas AC's Neville Mc Donald proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 63rd minute of the match, managed to save Chaguanas AC from getting a goal against them. When Philmore Goddard fell near the penalty area in the 68th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Chaguanas AC's protests and gave Philmore Goddard a yellow card for diving instead. The supporters of Scarborough Town booed when Chaguanas AC was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Philmore Goddard didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 72nd minute the ball was on its way in behind Scarborough Town's goalkeeper Krishna Taitt, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Philmore Goddard kicked well hit freekick during the 77th minute of the match. Standiford Yorke recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 79th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 81 minutes into the game, Chaguanas AC's Trent Farrier nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Krishna Taitt made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 2-0. Chaguanas AC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
