Santxol Fuertes took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 34th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Isauro Santurde. Pelanca FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. If Mikel Vilas had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 37th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The crowd rose to their feet as Pastos AFC's Mikel Vilas slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Isauro Santurde. That made the score 1-1 after 42 minutes of play. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

Pastos AFC's Adrio Mujica proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 53rd minute of the match, managed to save Pastos AFC from getting a goal against them. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Adrio Mujica prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Artaldo Parayos fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 87th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Adrio Mujica having to interfere. Hernan Murueta blasted a shot towards the goal in the 89th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Adrio Mujica having to make a save. Pelanca FC were unable to convert their possession into goals, allowing Pastos AFC to leave the ground with a draw.
