The crowd rose to their feet as Sapucay FC's Estevez Tezanos slotted home a wonderful shot that went in to the left of Ximen Cuba. That made the score 1-0 after 37 minutes of play. Bero Raimundo took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 40th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Ximen Cuba. Curupayty FC's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leizarraga Gaviria to make the kick off. Jonathan Arteaga charged in rather forcefully in the 57th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. When Xayvion Encalada came up free with the goalie in the 86th minute, the Curupayty FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Xayvion Encalada couldn't finish the play. Estevez Tezanos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Reynaldo Villafañe hit a great freekick 95 minutes into the match. The away crowd were delighted with the way their team had played and cheered loudly when the final whistle sounded. Curupayty FC walked away with the win, even though the match was close until the end.
