After a rather tough play, Duarte's Xepe Escrig got a free kick in the 7th minute. Luke Ubago kicked well hit freekick during the 12th minute of the match. Sindo Amocia showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leheren Paternina in the 13th minute of the match. Ticho Lin was out of position in the 16 minute of play, and Arnaldo Madrazo capitalized on the mistake with a soft shot into the goal. Arnaldo Madrazo really showed his touch with that goal: 1-0. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Arnaldo Madrazo in the 23rd minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Ticho Lin prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ticho Lin made a fantastic save in the 25th minute, when Iago Prats sent off a good shot on target. After some fancy dribbling in the 27th minute, Iago Prats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duarte's supporters rose to their feet, but Iago Prats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ticho Lin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leheren Paternina received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 35th minute. Sindo Amocia tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Duarte's Sindo Amocia played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Lonzo Gondorillas in the 38th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 48th minute, Iago Prats managed to get in a good position for a shot. Duarte's supporters rose to their feet, but Iago Prats was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Ticho Lin breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. The away team players looked dejected as the walked off the pitch at half time. They had fought hard, but were still losing 1-0.

The hometeam waved at the audience when it was time for Arnaldo Madrazo to strike the kick off in the second half. Ticho Lin took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Iago Prats, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. After 59 minutes, Arnaldo Madrazo mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Duarte and the Santiago FC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 59th match minute, Duarte was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Arnaldo Madrazo to maneuver through the defense. Duarte's Arnaldo Madrazo got a good chance for a goal in the 64th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Iago Prats received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 70th minute. Ticho Lin tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Arnaldo Madrazo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 71st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Ticho Lin having to interfere. In the 75th minute, Iago Prats got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 82nd minute, Duarte's goalie took a deep sigh of relief after Leheren Paternina fired away a hard shot that went just outside the left post. In the 83rd minute, Lonzo Gondorillas reached a very good position and smashed the ball with a huge effort into the net, just to the left of Sindo Amocia. The goal made the score 1-1. Sindo Amocia was a little too slow when Lonzo Gondorillas got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 92nd minute. The score was now 1-2. Ticho Lin showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Arnaldo Madrazo, who was totally free with the ball in the 96th minute. The referee blew the final whistle, and the away crowd roared, having watched Santiago FC eke out a victory against a very well matched opponent.
