The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Odol Varaona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Veremundo Sorrarain, who was totally free with the ball in the 6th minute. 8 minutes into the match, Markel Olavarrieta had an open shot that he just couldn't miss and scored to the right of Odol Varaona. Esterito's manager could be seen yelling to the referee that Markel Olavarrieta was offside, but the referee ignored the protest. 0-1. Erruki Bolimburu made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zornin Ibero in the 18th minute of play. Elorri Condal kicked well hit freekick during the 19th minute of the match. Veremundo Sorrarain sent away a hard shot on goal in the 22nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. An unexpectedly hard shot by Veremundo Sorrarain in the 27th minute of play forced Esterito's goalkeeper Odol Varaona to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. 29 minutes into the match, Markel Olavarrieta notched a goal, 0-3, to the right of Esterito's Odol Varaona. Odol Varaona was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. In the 33rd minute, Markel Olavarrieta got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 43rd minute, Markel Olavarrieta left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. Cebrian Beite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 49th minute. Erruki Bolimburu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Disappointed in the 0-4 score, the home team went to the dressing room to adjust tactics for the second half.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Veremundo Sorrarain to make the kick off. Veremundo Sorrarain had several of the Esterito's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 54 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-5 score and a disappointed Odol Varaona as he didn't even see the shot coming. After 56 played minutes Republica de Luque got a freekick which was hit by Elorri Condal. Cebrian Beite received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Erruki Bolimburu tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 62nd minute Cebrian Beite shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Erruki Bolimburu saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. 70 minutes into the match, Republica de Luque's goal looked a bit too open when Zornin Ibero came free, but Erruki Bolimburu reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 80th minute, Maraman Ocaliz managed to get in a good position for a shot. Republica de Luque's supporters rose to their feet, but Maraman Ocaliz was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Odol Varaona breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Zornin Ibero sent away a hard shot on goal in the 91st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Zornin Ibero in the 94th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Erruki Bolimburu saved Republica de Luque from getting behind. Vennancio Arenzano kicked well hit freekick during the 96th minute of the match. The Esterito supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Republica de Luque's performance. The match ended with a win for Republica de Luque.
