Ibycuy's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Natalio the free kick. Cruz Farran took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 14th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Uriel Herenchun. Ibycuy's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. In the 17th minute, Dubardo Ludeña got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Vimaro Toral fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 20th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Vimaro Ilardia having to interfere. Dubardo Ludeña might have been able to make a better finish in the 24th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Uriel Herenchun. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Dubardo Ludeña ran back to his position shaking his head. After having played for 28 minutes, Vimaro Toral managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Ibycuy's supporters crossed their fingers, but Vimaro Toral was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. If Dubardo Ludeña had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. An unexpected shot in the 33rd minute by Dubardo Ludeña got the crowd on their feet, but to their dismay it went out on the left side. After some fancy dribbling in the 35th minute, Ruy Cao managed to get in a good position for a shot. Natalio's supporters rose to their feet, but Ruy Cao was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Uriel Herenchun breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. After a rather tough play, Natalio's Santutxo Ameda got a free kick in the 41st minute. The supporters of Ibycuy booed when Natalio was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 44 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gerardo Zornoza didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 46th minute, Sandaili Maestro sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Natalio's Vimaro Ilardia didn't even have to move.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Xavieon Bozo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Vimaro Toral's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 52ndth minute, Vimaro Ilardia skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. Fortun Amezaga tried in the game's 53rd match minute to clear up in front of his own goal but it went so bad that he put the ball into the goal to the left of an unhappy Vimaro Ilardia. An annoying self made goal, 0-2. If Santutxo Ameda had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 57th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Natalio booed when Ibycuy was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 58 match minutes in a wonderful position. Aaron Leicea didn't get a good kick on the ball. After 60 played minutes Ibycuy got a freekick which was hit by Inge Calero. Through an outstanding action, after 73 minutes, Vimaro Ilardia successfully got his hands on the ball before it slid into the goal at the right post. Dubardo Ludeña sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After a rather tough play, Natalio's Fortun Amezaga got a free kick in the 85th minute. Xavieon Bozo's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Vimaro Ilardia read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 88th minute of play. Vimaro Toral recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 89th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Vimaro Ilardia made an important save on a dangerous shot by Vimaro Toral in the 91st minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Vimaro Toral got free with Vimaro Ilardia in the 95th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 98th minute Xavieon Bozo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Vimaro Ilardia saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The Ibycuy supporters could be heard counting down the last seconds of the match. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Ibycuy would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
