After 11 minutes, Berto Lagunez mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Cambyreta FC and the Abay AFC players grew even worse after the yellow card. In the 11th match minute, Cambyreta FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Berto Lagunez to maneuver through the defense. Modesto Lloreda showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Zigor Peroalfonso in the 15th minute of the match. Zigor Peroalfonso blasted a shot towards the goal in the 16th minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Modesto Lloreda having to make a save. In the 18th minute, Zigor Peroalfonso got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Cambyreta FC's Berto Lagunez got a good chance for a goal in the 20th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Bazkoare Hurtaran fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Modesto Lloreda having to interfere. Zigor Peroalfonso struck a weak shot in the 23rd minute. Modesto Lloreda didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Abay AFC. An unexpectedly hard shot by Bazkoare Hurtaran in the 26th minute of play forced Cambyreta FC's goalkeeper Modesto Lloreda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. After a rather tough play, Abay AFC's Diaz Teixido got a free kick in the 26th minute. If Berto Lagunez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 30th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Berto Lagunez fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 36th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Oto Gimilio having to interfere. After a defensive mix-up in Abay AFC's zone, Rico Tarsa stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Oto Gimilio came out of the goal and Rico Tarsa tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. After 40 played minutes Abay AFC got a freekick which was hit by Salvino Latonero. An unexpectedly hard shot by Zigor Peroalfonso in the 44th minute of play forced Cambyreta FC's goalkeeper Modesto Lloreda to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rico Tarsa got free with Oto Gimilio in the 47th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. The home fans were very happy to see their team leading 1-0 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Bazkoare Hurtaran to make the kick off. Berto Lagunez took the ball and in the 54 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Oto Gimilio.
