After a rather tough play, Gavilan's Pinto Beyzania got a free kick in the 12th minute. Mbocaya's Olentzaro Badas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Tano Tijerina in the 15th minute of play. If Benvide Castañondo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 21st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Leoiar Poncelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 27th minute. Birjaio Graniela tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Birjaio Graniela showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Leoiar Poncelas, who was totally free with the ball in the 43rd minute. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Leoiar Poncelas to make the kick off. Birjaio Graniela came out of the goal and Leoiar Poncelas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Tano Tijerina sent away a hard shot on goal in the 63rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Birjaio Graniela came out of the goal and Leoiar Poncelas tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 67th minute, Hondo Riaño hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After 68 minutes, Tano Tijerina mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Gavilan and the Mbocaya players grew even worse after the yellow card. After 69 played minutes Gavilan got a freekick which was hit by Tano Tijerina.
