Mateo Antoniano fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 13th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Evis Consul having to interfere. In the 14th minute, Xalvador Escalera hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 17 minutes into the match, Ciudad del Este's Nuxila Botbol sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Evis Consul narrowly saved just below the crossbar. In the 19th minute, Pelayo Seca got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. In the 22nd match minute, Club Atletico MiguelAngel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Xalvador Escalera to maneuver through the defense. With his leg Evis Consul managed to avoid a goal in the 23rdth minute, when Ciudad del Este's Mateo Antoniano fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Evis Consul made an important save on a dangerous shot by Mateo Antoniano in the 28th minute. The audience thought a goal was coming when Mateo Antoniano got free with Evis Consul in the 41st minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 43rd match minute, Club Atletico MiguelAngel was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Tabb Urguia to maneuver through the defense. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 2-0.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Nuxila Botbol made a kick off. After having played for 57 minutes, Pelayo Seca managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Club Atletico MiguelAngel's supporters crossed their fingers, but Pelayo Seca was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. After a defensive mix-up in Club Atletico MiguelAngel's zone, Mateo Antoniano stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Evis Consul came out of the goal and Mateo Antoniano tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Nuxila Botbol took the ball and in the 62 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Evis Consul. Evis Consul dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 3-0. If Pelayo Seca had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 66th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tabb Urguia's late challenge caught a Ciudad del Este's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tabb Urguia helped the player get up and apologised. The supporters of Ciudad del Este booed when Club Atletico MiguelAngel was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 67 match minutes in a wonderful position. Tabb Urguia didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 69th minute Mateo Antoniano shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Evis Consul saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 72nd minute, Pelayo Seca managed to get in a good position for a shot. Club Atletico MiguelAngel's supporters rose to their feet, but Pelayo Seca was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Jiang Hong Chen breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Tabb Urguia hit a great freekick 76 minutes into the match. Ciudad del Este's Mateo Antoniano got a good chance for a goal in the 77th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Club Atletico MiguelAngel's Evis Consul played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nuxila Botbol in the 82nd minute of play. 84 minutes into the game, Nuxila Botbol was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Ciudad del Este's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Club Atletico MiguelAngel the free kick. In the 84th match minute, Ciudad del Este was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Nuxila Botbol to maneuver through the defense.
