The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Ubarna Vazquez couldn't finish the play. Bernard Rugama took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Mosen Antecha, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Cordarrel Lazaeta fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 11th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Raimundo Guillarte having to interfere. Breogan Sendin's shot when he came free in front of the goal in the 12thth minute, Raimundo Guillarte skillfully showed off with a save to what seemed to be an obvious goal. After some careless play in the Ybytymi defense, Ubarna Vazquez kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Bernard Rugama. The Ybytymi fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Bernard Rugama should have stopped the shot. A collision led to Ybytymi getting a freekick after 21 minutes play. Mariano Bidania hit a great ball. An unexpectedly hard shot by Ubarna Vazquez in the 23rd minute of play forced Ybytymi's goalkeeper Bernard Rugama to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Breogan Sendin in the 26thth minute had a little luck and got a chance for a shot in front of the goal. Without hesitation aimed to the right of Raimundo Guillarte, who managed to lunge to the right direction and made a save. Bernard Rugama stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Ubarna Vazquez's shot from short distance in the 32nd minute. In the 33rd match minute, Coratei was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Edgardo Cortazar to maneuver through the defense. 39 minutes into the game, Brais Aldeco was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Coratei's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Ybytymi the free kick. In the 40th minute, Brais Aldeco hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

Coratei's Raimundo Guillarte played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cordarrel Lazaeta in the 51st minute of play. Cordarrel Lazaeta received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 55th minute. Raimundo Guillarte tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Ubarna Vazquez sent away a hard shot on goal in the 59th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. After 60 minutes, Paco Viladrosa mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Ybytymi and the Coratei players grew even worse after the yellow card. The supporters of Coratei booed when Ybytymi was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 60 match minutes in a wonderful position. Paco Viladrosa didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 78th minute Mosen Antecha shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Bernard Rugama saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Breogan Sendin sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
