Spectators: 7883 (Terracing: 5995, Seating: 1838, VIP seats: 50) Cerro Porteño's Oliveiro Cortada started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. 4 minutes into the game, Oliveiro Cortada was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Cerro Porteño's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Mandarina the free kick. A collision led to Cerro Porteño getting a freekick after 4 minutes play. Oliveiro Cortada hit a great ball. Ieltxu Carbajo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 5th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Teobaldo Santoni having to interfere. Teobaldo Santoni took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Ieltxu Carbajo, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. A collision led to Mandarina getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Arnau Caselles hit a great ball. With a little luck, Mandarina's Itzaina Rigues got control of the ball when Ambrosio Villamandos tried to sneak it across the goal line. The supporters of Mandarina booed when Cerro Porteño was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 16 match minutes in a wonderful position. Oroitz Alaiza didn't get a good kick on the ball. Itzaina Rigues came out of the goal in the 21st minute to try and stop a shot by Cerro Porteño's Perrando Avienzo. But to his dismay, Perrando Avienzo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Teobaldo Santoni, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Oliveiro Cortada got his second yellow card in the match during the 42nd minute which meant that he had to leave the ground. 44 minutes into the match, Mandarina's goalkeeper Itzaina Rigues had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Perrando Avienzo. After 47 played minutes Mandarina got a freekick which was hit by Ieltxu Carbajo. When the referee blew for the end of the half the home team players were clearly happier, as they went in to the break leading 1-0.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ieltxu Carbajo stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Buinton Muñoyerro's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Teobaldo Santoni read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 58th minute of play. Boni Peñuelas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 60th minute. Teobaldo Santoni tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Itzaina Rigues made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Perrando Avienzo in the 64th minute of play. After 69 minutes of play, Mandarina's Buinton Muñoyerro made it 1-1 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Teobaldo Santoni was left in no man's land by his defense there! An unexpectedly hard shot by Ieltxu Carbajo in the 84th minute of play forced Cerro Porteño's goalkeeper Teobaldo Santoni to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Ieltxu Carbajo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 85th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 86 minutes into the match, Cerro Porteño's goal looked a bit too open when Boni Peñuelas came free, but Teobaldo Santoni reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 88 minutes into the game, Ladio Cañucal was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Mandarina's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Cerro Porteño the free kick. In the 88th match minute, Mandarina was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Ladio Cañucal to maneuver through the defense. If Ieltxu Carbajo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 93rd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Mandarina's Ieltxu Carbajo got a good chance for a goal in the 96th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Mandarina were disappointed that they only managed a draw, even though they felt themselves to be the better team.
