Regis Robires took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 5th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Elequemedo Llanderas. EL TAURO's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. EL TAURO's defense didn't have a chance, in the 7th minute, when Cristobal Ituarte scored to the left of an out of position Elequemedo Llanderas, making the score, 1-0. Elequemedo Llanderas made a fantastic save in the 12th minute, when Balasi Cerrabe sent off a good shot on target. After 13 played minutes, EL TAURO's Foro Truebano shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Frichoso Meneses came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in EL TAURO reached it. Cristobal Ituarte might have been able to make a better finish in the 16th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Elequemedo Llanderas. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Cristobal Ituarte ran back to his position shaking his head. In the 18th minute the ball was on its way in behind Khilu Areguá Paraguay's goalkeeper Frichoso Meneses, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Elequemedo Llanderas showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Cristobal Ituarte, who was totally free with the ball in the 21st minute. Balasi Cerrabe fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 24th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Elequemedo Llanderas having to interfere. In the 26th minute the ball was on its way in behind EL TAURO's goalkeeper Elequemedo Llanderas, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. 27 minutes into the match, EL TAURO's goal looked a bit too open when Cristobal Ituarte came free, but Elequemedo Llanderas reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. 30 minutes into the game, Regis Robires was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Khilu Areguá Paraguay's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave EL TAURO the free kick. The referee gave EL TAURO a penalty, 31 minutes into the game. The penalty shot was made by Vergaray Goicoolea, who made a well placed shot into the net to the right of Khilu Areguá Paraguay's Frichoso Meneses. 1-1. After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Cristobal Ituarte was the one to do the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Cristobal Ituarte in the 53rd minute of play forced EL TAURO's goalkeeper Elequemedo Llanderas to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Elequemedo Llanderas didn't have a chance when a screaming shot from Cristobal Ituarte went, in the 59th minute, to the upper right corner, 2-1 was the resulting score. Salvidor Panadero could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 64th minute of the match, but Frichoso Meneses made a huge save. Tallia Marsella's late challenge caught a EL TAURO's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Tallia Marsella helped the player get up and apologised. After 64 played minutes Khilu Areguá Paraguay got a freekick which was hit by Tallia Marsella. Elequemedo Llanderas showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Balasi Cerrabe in the 74th minute of the match. When Cristobal Ituarte came up free with the goalie in the 76th minute, the Khilu Areguá Paraguay fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Cristobal Ituarte couldn't finish the play. Salvidor Panadero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 83rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Frichoso Meneses having to interfere. EL TAURO's Elequemedo Llanderas played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Cristobal Ituarte in the 90th minute of play. A collision led to Khilu Areguá Paraguay getting a freekick after 94 minutes play. Tallia Marsella hit a great ball. EL TAURO's attacker deliberately struck the ball against an opponent to win a corner for his team. The corner was taken by Vergaray Goicoolea in the 96th minute. Reimundo Galera made a great header on EL TAURO's corner, it was just that Khilu Areguá Paraguay's Frichoso Meneses managed to reach the ball for a save. A hard shot by Jose Aramberri from long distance, 98 minutes into the match, got Frichoso Meneses's attention. Through a fast twist with his body, he could stop the ball from going in on his right side. Khilu Areguá Paraguay were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest.
