Paraguay's supporters rose to their feet, but Gipuzkoa Villafana was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Eli Morquecho breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 11 minutes play. Marcial Achutegui hit a great ball. If Gipuzkoa Villafana had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Castulo Illera took a chance and fired a shot far from the goal in the 15th minute, but it turned out to be a dangerous situation for Eli Morquecho. Arsenal de Sajonia's goalkeeper really had to stretch himself to stop the ball from crossing the goal line. Carlos Dulce fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 21st minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Manuel Aedo having to interfere. A collision led to Paraguay getting a freekick after 23 minutes play. Edur Voces hit a great ball. The referee ignored Arsenal de Sajonia's protests and gave Carlos Dulce a yellow card for diving instead. Carlos Dulce hit a great freekick 57 minutes into the match. In the 62nd minute, Arsenal de Sajonia's Carlos Dulce ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Manuel Aedo. Manuel Aedo yelled at his defense, as they had left him out to dry. 0-2. The audience was convinced that Marcial Achutegui's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Eli Morquecho was relentless in the 76th minute of the game. Gipuzkoa Villafana received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 77th minute. Eli Morquecho tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 93rd match minute, Paraguay was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mikolas Bango to maneuver through the defense. In the 96th minute Carlos Dulce shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Manuel Aedo saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Although Paraguay had been in control for most of the match, Arsenal de Sajonia still came away with the win.
