In the 7th match minute, Olimpia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Leheren Acedo to maneuver through the defense. The referee blew the whistle for a penalty in the 9th minute of the game. One of Olimpia:s players had nearly got his shirt torn off by an opponent while getting free in front of Sanguina:s goal. After 12 minutes, Aureo Luciano mouthed his way into the referee's book. The tension between the Olimpia and the Sanguina players grew even worse after the yellow card. Aureo Luciano hit a great freekick 12 minutes into the match. Aristides Calona sent away a hard shot on goal in the 14th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 27 played minutes, Sanguina's Markel Rodrigo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Eudoxio Cordoba came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Sanguina reached it. In the 33rd minute, Ugutz Escalante hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Cris Molinillo recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 38th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. After a very even first half the match was still tied. The players went to their respective dressing rooms to discuss the tactics for the second half.

The wind increased when Cris Molinillo made the kick off in the second half. Zarbonin Cordovilla recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 57th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. If Xinto Barrientos had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 60th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The supporters of Olimpia booed when Sanguina was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 68 match minutes in a wonderful position. Gora Lorza didn't get a good kick on the ball. When the match had gone on for 71 minutes, Cris Molinillo took a quick shot and it went in 0-1 without a chance for Eudoxio Cordoba to make any attempt to save it. Lesardo Bureu kicked well hit freekick during the 74th minute of the match. Cristofol Achueta showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Aristides Calona, who was totally free with the ball in the 75th minute. If Aristides Calona had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 76th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Aristides Calona's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Cristofol Achueta read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 79th minute of play. Diaz Ponga hit a great freekick 80 minutes into the match. Xinto Barrientos took the ball and in the 80 minute, shot a rapid shot to the right of a surprised Eudoxio Cordoba. Eudoxio Cordoba dived to the right, and did manage to get a hand on the shot, but it still went into the right corner making it 0-2. Xinto Barrientos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 90th minute. Eudoxio Cordoba tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 92nd minute, Lesardo Bureu made a precise shot to the right of Eudoxio Cordoba. Olimpia's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 0-3. The Olimpia supporters were disappointed that their team didn't take anything from the match, despite matching Sanguina's performance. The match ended with a win for Sanguina.
