Gomesano Ontanilla's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eustacio Penagos read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 40th minute of play. If Gomesano Ontanilla had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 47th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. The fans had the chance to grab some refreshments as the whistle went for half-time. The score stood at 0-0 after a close first half.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Gomesano Ontanilla stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Gomesano Ontanilla sent away a hard shot on goal in the 52nd minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. When Gomesano Ontanilla came up free with the goalie in the 59th minute, the Faint FC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Gomesano Ontanilla couldn't finish the play. Eustacio Penagos made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Xalvador Hornedo in the 69th minute of play. Tiburcio Aleja made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Raulo Pastrana in the 73rd minute of play. With a little luck, Faint FC's Tiburcio Aleja got control of the ball when Ariando Astiago tried to sneak it across the goal line. But to his dismay, Gomesano Ontanilla quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 1-0. There was no doubt that Faint FC were the better team. Faint FC's players enjoyed the ovations of the crowd after the victory.
