Bilbo Oro might have been able to make a better finish in the 3rd minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Romelio Leston. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Bilbo Oro ran back to his position shaking his head. Tiburcio Unzaga struck a weak shot in the 6th minute. Inautzi Almirall didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Yhaty. If Zeledon Arizmendi had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 9th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. With his leg Romelio Leston managed to avoid a goal in the 11thth minute, when Nanawa's Zeledon Arizmendi fired away a shot with a lot of spin towards his right hand side. Zeledon Arizmendi struck a weak shot in the 13th minute. Romelio Leston didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Nanawa. After 14 played minutes Yhaty got a freekick which was hit by Santi Descalzo. Zeledon Arizmendi could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 15th minute of the match, but Romelio Leston made a huge save. In the 17th minute, Zeledon Arizmendi got an opportunity to score, but he didn't get a solid hit on the ball and ended up kicking it wide of the goal. Tiburcio Unzaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 20th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 24th minute, Nanawa's Bilbo Oro dribbled the ball into the box and hit a shot with the outside of his foot, sending the keeper the wrong way. 1-0. Romelio Leston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bilbo Oro, who was totally free with the ball in the 31st minute. Zeledon Arizmendi received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 32nd minute. Romelio Leston tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Zeledon Arizmendi sent away a hard shot on goal in the 35th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Tiburcio Unzaga fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 38th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inautzi Almirall having to interfere. Romelio Leston stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Bilbo Oro's shot from short distance in the 44th minute. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 1-0 at half-time.

The wind increased when Tiburcio Unzaga made the kick off in the second half. Romelio Leston showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Bilbo Oro, who was totally free with the ball in the 56th minute. 57 minutes into the match, Yhaty's goal looked a bit too open when Bilbo Oro came free, but Romelio Leston reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Nanawa's Zeledon Arizmendi got a good chance for a goal in the 59th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Zenaido Castañera charged in rather forcefully in the 63rd minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Zenaido Castañera the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. The audience was convinced that Zeledon Arizmendi's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Romelio Leston was relentless in the 64th minute of the game. Bilbo Oro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 66th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Ado Astola fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 72nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Inautzi Almirall having to interfere. Inautzi Almirall took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Tiburcio Unzaga, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. In the 82nd minute Bartolo Curueño suffered a thigh injury and had to be helped off the field. 82 minutes into the game, Erasto Elcano was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Yhaty's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Nanawa the free kick. In the 83rd minute, Erasto Elcano hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Romelio Leston made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Zeledon Arizmendi in the 87th minute of play. Tiburcio Unzaga sent away a hard shot on goal in the 88th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. In the 95thth minute of the game Zeledon Arizmendi who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Yhaty's Romelio Leston was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. The referee blew his whistle, and the match came to a close. The players exchanged shirts and headed down the tunnel. The Nanawa fans cheered their team off the field, for while Yhaty had put up a good fight, they were unable to come out of the game with any points to show for their effort.
