In the 14th minute, Fernando Grover made a precise shot to the right of Patxi Carmona. Blue Lock's defense was at fault, and the scoreboard reflected the new score, 1-0. Blue Lock's Mateo Gamarra quickly snatched the ball and retained possesion. After 28 played minutes Blue Lock got a freekick which was hit by Maciej Zdrojewski. Fernando Grover could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 30th minute of the match, but Patxi Carmona made a huge save. A collision led to Blue Lock getting a freekick after 31 minutes play. Birjaio Herdozain hit a great ball. Yao Zhan Sang made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Maciej Zdrojewski in the 34th minute of play. 35 minutes into the match, Blue Lock's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Grover came free, but Patxi Carmona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. After a rather tough play, Blue Lock's Jairo Bidun got a free kick in the 36th minute. Patxi Carmona was a little too slow when Fernando Grover got a fine hit on the ball which went right into the goal in the 37th minute. The score was now 2-1. With a little luck, Blue Lock's Patxi Carmona got control of the ball when Fernando Grover tried to sneak it across the goal line. Maciej Zdrojewski kicked well hit freekick during the 48th minute of the match. Blue Lock made a substitution. Evelio Mahabe replaced Benjamin Enao. In the 49th minute, Maciej Zdrojewski hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-1 at half-time.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Birjaio Herdozain to make the kick off. After a defensive mix-up in Blue Lock's zone, Tomas Levander stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Patxi Carmona came out of the goal and Tomas Levander tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. In the 59thth minute of the game Fernando Grover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blue Lock's Patxi Carmona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Yakup Sargut, 64 minutes into the match, dribbled the ball up the side of the field and decided to take a long shot at the goal. Unfortunately, the ball was poorly hit and landed closer to the corner than to the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Blue Lock's goal looked a bit too open when Fernando Grover came free, but Patxi Carmona reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Yao Zhan Sang took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Evelio Mahabe, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side. Blue Lock's Patxi Carmona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Baltazar Clavijo in the 78th minute of play. In the 81stth minute of the game Fernando Grover who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Blue Lock's Patxi Carmona was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. After a rather tough play, Blue Lock's Mateo Gamarra got a free kick in the 83rd minute. Borussia Dortmund's Bertran Castillo was substituted for Emesto Llames. Mateo Gamarra hit a great freekick 85 minutes into the match. Blue Lock's Patxi Carmona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fernando Grover in the 89th minute of play. After some careless play in the Blue Lock defense, Baltazar Clavijo kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Patxi Carmona. The Blue Lock fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Patxi Carmona should have stopped the shot. In the 95th minute Baltazar Clavijo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patxi Carmona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Baltazar Clavijo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 99th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Borussia Dortmund walked away with a well-earned victory that was much celebrated by the crowd.
