Blue Lock's Patxi Carmona played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Nelson Haedo in the 9th minute of play. Patxi Carmona showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Nelson Haedo, who was totally free with the ball in the 13th minute. With a little luck, Club Olimpia's Alfredo Aguilar got control of the ball when Birjaio Herdozain tried to sneak it across the goal line. Patxi Carmona was left in no man's land by his defense there! After the first half Club Olimpia were leading 2-3. They had played with great self confidence throughout the first half and fully deserved their lead.

In the 56th minute Roque Gora shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Patxi Carmona saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Club Olimpia made a substitution. Matthias Kiempe replaced Luís Fernando Duarte. Patxi Carmona took care of the ball after a well-directed shot from Pan Xi De, even though the ball almost passed him on his left side.
