An unexpectedly hard shot by Tadeo Cárdenas in the 11th minute of play forced Samana AC's goalkeeper Feliciano Soler to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. If Américo Carrión had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 12th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Feliciano Soler showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Tadeo Cárdenas in the 14th minute of the match. In the 14th minute, Tadeo Cárdenas ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Feliciano Soler was frozen by the shot and now it was 0-1. Jeremias Lara struck a weak shot in the 19th minute. Victorino Graham didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Samana AC. The audience was convinced that Jeremias Lara's extremely hard shot when he got free in front of the goal was going in, but Victorino Graham was relentless in the 21st minute of the game. In the 22ndth minute of the game Jeremias Lara who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Comendador CF's Victorino Graham was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Comendador CF's Victorino Graham played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Jeremias Lara in the 23rd minute of play. Flavio Cañas kicked well hit freekick during the 25th minute of the match. Feliciano Soler came out of the goal in the 30th minute to try and stop a shot by Comendador CF's Edinson Guajardo. But to his dismay, Edinson Guajardo quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 0-2. A collision led to Comendador CF getting a freekick after 33 minutes play. Arthur Ventura hit a great ball. Jeremias Lara sent away a hard shot on goal in the 38th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. After 40 played minutes Comendador CF got a freekick which was hit by Arthur Ventura. After having played for 43 minutes, Américo Carrión managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Samana AC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Américo Carrión was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Victorino Graham made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Jeremias Lara in the 44th minute of play. A collision led to Comendador CF getting a freekick after 45 minutes play. Marcos Darcy hit a great ball. Even after changing tactics the home team jogged off the field with a 0-2 deficit. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Jeremias Lara was the one to do the kick off. If Jeremias Lara had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 51st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Edinson Guajardo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 54th minute. Feliciano Soler tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When the final whistle went the supporters of Comendador CF were delighted that their team had defeated the much more dominant Samana AC side.
