In the 27th minute the ball was on its way in behind Espaillat AC's goalkeeper Lesli Prado, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. In the 28th match minute, Espaillat AC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Lucio Valencia to maneuver through the defense. After a defensive mix-up in Espaillat AC's zone, Kenny Casanova stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Lesli Prado came out of the goal and Kenny Casanova tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. 36 minutes into the match, Espaillat AC's Isidoro Soria sent off a blazing shot straight on target, a shot that Randor Sanabria narrowly saved just below the crossbar. After 39 minutes of play, Peralta's Raimundo Castro made it 1-0 when he simply outclassed the defender marking him and hit a curling shot into the right side of the net. Lesli Prado was left in no man's land by his defense there! Randor Sanabria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Josué Haas in the 44th minute of play. No-one was surprised that the home team were leading 2-0 at half-time.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Kenny Casanova stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Espaillat AC's Isidoro Soria got a good chance for a goal in the 52nd minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Randor Sanabria made an important save on a dangerous shot by Josué Haas in the 55th minute. Randor Sanabria showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Isidoro Soria, who was totally free with the ball in the 57th minute. Josué Haas sent away a hard shot on goal in the 58th minute, but the ball hit the crossbar and went out. A very good chance for a goal. The supporters of Espaillat AC booed when Peralta was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 74 match minutes in a wonderful position. Kenny Casanova didn't get a good kick on the ball. In the 74th minute, Kenny Casanova fired away an extremely well hit free kick, but unfortunately the ball went just outside to the right hand side of Lesli Prado. 79 minutes into the game, Ignacio Alem was given a yellow card after he appeared to trip an opposing player. Peralta's manager was livid on the sidelines, but the referee was unmoved and gave Espaillat AC the free kick. In the 79th minute, Ignacio Alem hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Randor Sanabria made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Isidoro Soria in the 80th minute of play. Isidoro Soria succeeded in the game's 82nd minute to shoot an unreachable shot under the crossbar and scored - 2-1. 85 minutes into the game, Peralta's Kenny Casanova nearly tore a hole in the net with a booming shot. Lesli Prado made a valiant effort, but he could not reach the ball in time, 3-1. For all the effort they put into the match, the Espaillat AC players left disappointed. They had fought hard, but couldn't break down the home team's defense. The match ended in a win for Peralta.
