Spectators: 8079 (Terracing: 6061, Seating: 1858, VIP seats: 160) Dark clouds were building up when the players entered the field. None of the them looked very eager to play. Fidel Naranjo started the match with the kick off. In the 3rd minute Fidel Naranjo shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Jacobo Lozada saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arthur Quiroga during the 4th minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. After a rather tough play, Jarabacoa CF's Arthur Quiroga got a free kick in the 4th minute. When Fidel Naranjo came up free with the goalie in the 5th minute, the Guananico AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Naranjo couldn't finish the play. After having played for 8 minutes, Clemente Britos managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Jarabacoa CF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Clemente Britos was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Jarabacoa CF's Jacobo Lozada played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Leoncio Contreras in the 12th minute of play. 13 minutes into the match, Fidel Naranjo notched a goal, 0-1, to the right of Jarabacoa CF's Jacobo Lozada. Jacobo Lozada was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. Óscar Lobos was in the perfect position, and the defense had done a good job marking him, but Charles Alcott showcased his skills and made a perfect shot to score 1-1 in the 16 minute of play. After having played for 20 minutes, Leoncio Contreras managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Guananico AF's supporters crossed their fingers, but Leoncio Contreras was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Charles Alcott sent away a hard shot on goal in the 23rd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Fidel Naranjo struck a weak shot in the 29th minute. Jacobo Lozada didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guananico AF. Clemente Britos could have scored with his fast shot on goal in the 31st minute of the match, but Óscar Lobos made a huge save. Jacobo Lozada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Leoncio Contreras in the 36th minute of play. Jacobo Lozada showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Leoncio Contreras in the 41st minute of the match. If Leoncio Contreras had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 44th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After a defensive mix-up in Jarabacoa CF's zone, Fidel Naranjo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Jacobo Lozada came out of the goal and Fidel Naranjo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Leoncio Contreras in the 47th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Jacobo Lozada prevented the ball from getting in the gole. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Charles Alcott was the one to do the kick off. When Fidel Naranjo came up free with the goalie in the 51st minute, the Guananico AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Fidel Naranjo couldn't finish the play. Jacobo Lozada made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fidel Naranjo in the 59th minute of play. Marino Cuéllar recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Jacobo Lozada stood for a superb save when he managed to get hold of Fidel Naranjo's shot from short distance in the 67th minute. César Balaguer kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. In the 79th minute, Leoncio Contreras fired away a killer shot towards the goal that, to the delight of Jacobo Lozada, passed just outside the right post. Jacobo Lozada showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Fidel Naranjo, who was totally free with the ball in the 81st minute. Leoncio Contreras sent away a hard shot on goal in the 82nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Leoncio Contreras came up free with the goalie in the 93rd minute, the Guananico AF fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Leoncio Contreras couldn't finish the play. Fidel Naranjo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 96th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Jacobo Lozada having to interfere. Despite being the better team, Guananico AF failed to find the winning goal and were forced to settle for a single point.
