Óscar Lobos breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Leoncio Contreras struck a weak shot in the 40th minute. Julio Howley didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Guananico AF. In the 44th minute, Tamboril AFC's Agustín Pardo ran free of his marker and smoothly shot the ball into the goal behind Óscar Lobos. The players welcomed the break and quickly retired to the dressing rooms.

The players of the home team were most fresh-looking when they entered the field to play the second half. Agustín Pardo was the one to do the kick off. After 69 played minutes, Tamboril AFC's Samuel Ocampo shot from a long distance, and at first it looked like the ball was going into the goal, but the goalkeeper Óscar Lobos came through and got his fingers on the ball before it flew over the goal line. He then quickly gripped the ball tighter before the forwards in Tamboril AFC reached it. When Marino Cuéllar fell near the penalty area in the 70th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Guananico AF's protests and gave Marino Cuéllar a yellow card for diving instead. Marino Cuéllar kicked well hit freekick during the 70th minute of the match. Guananico AF's Óscar Lobos played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Agustín Pardo in the 71st minute of play. 2-1 became the score in the 75th minute when Agustín Pardo elegantly shot the ball into goal just under the crossbar. After a defensive mix-up in Guananico AF's zone, Agustín Pardo stole the ball and had only the goalie to beat. Óscar Lobos came out of the goal and Agustín Pardo tried to chip the ball over his head. To his dismay, the ball went over the crossbar and out of play. When the match had gone on for 81 minutes, Felipe Berger put it in 3-1 from a short distance just to the right of Óscar Lobos. Felipe Berger received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 87th minute. Óscar Lobos tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. If Fidel Naranjo had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 92nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Tamboril AFC were really happy, having secured the victory after a very even contest. They thanked the players of Guananico AF for a fine match.
