In the 15th minute, Leandro Nadal hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Santiago FC's Leandro Nadal shoveled away a really nice long shot in the 18th minute of play. The shot was stopped by Valentin Lagos but with some difficulty. In the 22nd minute, Leandro Nadal sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Bahía's Valentin Lagos didn't even have to move. Bahía's Valentin Lagos proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 25th minute of the match, managed to save Bahía from getting a goal against them. After 25 played minutes Bahía got a freekick which was hit by Aaron Barrera. 26 minutes into the match, Hipólito Parra notched a goal, 2-0, to the right of Bahía's Valentin Lagos. Valentin Lagos was clearly disgusted with the effort of the defense and let the defenders know about it. After some fancy dribbling in the 36th minute, Hipólito Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Santiago FC's supporters rose to their feet, but Hipólito Parra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Virgilio Reyna to make the kick off. Valentin Lagos came out of the goal in the 62nd minute to try and stop a shot by Santiago FC's Ivan Banister. But to his dismay, Ivan Banister quickly shot the ball in between his legs and into the goal making it 5-0. After having played for 65 minutes, Hipólito Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Santiago FC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Hipólito Parra was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Ivan Banister fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 67th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Valentin Lagos having to interfere. In the 68th match minute, Bahía was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Neifi Martiarenas to maneuver through the defense. Virgilio Reyna sent away a hard shot on goal in the 79th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance.
