Teobaldo Silvera made an important save on a dangerous shot by Max Parra in the 9th minute. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling Andrés Molinos in the 11th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Teobaldo Silvera prevented the ball from getting in the gole. When Argen-Taino's Andrés Molinos in the 14th minute got a chance for a shot 14th didn't hesitate and placed the ball to the right of the goalie. A beautiful save bye Los Rios's goalie prevented a goal. When the match had been going on for 16 minutes, Argen-Taino's Arismendy Abreu got an opportunity to shoot a penalty. He stayed cool and waited for the goalkeeper to move, before he confidently shot the ball into the goal, to the left of Teobaldo Silvera. Andrés Molinos sent away a hard shot on goal in the 21st minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Argen-Taino's Victor Ulibarri played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Fausto Salazar in the 23rd minute of play. Wilson Fonseca blasted a shot towards the goal in the 33rd minute, but the shot hit the top of the crossbar and went out without Teobaldo Silvera having to make a save. The audience thought a goal was coming when Max Parra got free with Teobaldo Silvera in the 35th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. In the 37th minute of the match Argen-Taino got a corner. Los Rios's goalie ran out to the linesman to protest the call, but the linesman resolutely pointed his flag at the cornerflag. Arismendy Abreu ran over to the corner to take the kick. 44 minutes into the match, Los Rios's goalkeeper Teobaldo Silvera had to clear away a ball on his right side after a cunning shot by Andrés Molinos. Andrés Molinos might have been able to make a better finish in the 48th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Teobaldo Silvera. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Andrés Molinos ran back to his position shaking his head.

Both teams looked relatively alert before the second half when the referee blew his whistle to tell Andrés Molinos to make the kick off. An unexpectedly hard shot by Max Parra in the 53rd minute of play forced Los Rios's goalkeeper Teobaldo Silvera to throw himself to the left, to be able to save the ball. Fausto Salazar sent away a hard shot on goal in the 56th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. If Fausto Salazar had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 58th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Wilson Fonseca kicked well hit freekick during the 59th minute of the match. Los Rios's Fausto Salazar got a good chance for a goal in the 60th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Teobaldo Silvera showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Max Parra in the 62nd minute of the match. After a rather tough play, Los Rios's Ambros Haas got a free kick in the 63rd minute. Max Parra recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 64th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. 66 minutes into the match, Los Rios's goal looked a bit too open when Andrés Molinos came free, but Teobaldo Silvera reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Conrado Palmers short, quick shot in the 69thth minute got Victor Ulibarri to make great effort and bar the ball away from getting in. In the 72nd minute, Elián Sandford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. A collision led to Argen-Taino getting a freekick after 74 minutes play. Elián Sandford hit a great ball. Argen-Taino's Max Parra got a good chance for a goal in the 78th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. In the 82ndth minute of the game Max Parra who was perfectly placed tried to make a shot on goal, but Los Rios's Teobaldo Silvera was lucky and managed to grab hold of the ball. Victor Ulibarri made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Fausto Salazar in the 84th minute of play. After some fancy dribbling in the 85th minute, Max Parra managed to get in a good position for a shot. Argen-Taino's supporters rose to their feet, but Max Parra was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Teobaldo Silvera breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Andrés Molinos in the 88th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Teobaldo Silvera saved Los Rios from getting behind. Conrado Palmer was really disappointed when he shot the ball just outside the right post instead of scoring a goal in the 90th minute. Los Rios's manager could be seen on the sidelines shaking his head and muttering to himself as his team had just wasted another chance. In the 95th minute, Elián Sandford hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. 98 minutes into the match, Argen-Taino's goal looked a bit too open when Fausto Salazar came free, but Victor Ulibarri reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Los Rios's players left the field with heads hung low after losing a match that had been finely balanced throughout.
