After the first half the score was level. The break gave the players a chance to catch their breath, whilst the managers went over the tactics with them again.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Ivan Banister made a kick off. Victor Ulibarri made a fantastic save in the 52nd minute, when Hipólito Parra sent off a good shot on target. In the 56th minute, Arismendy Abreu sent off a long shot on goal, but the shot was nowhere near the goal and Santiago FC's Gabriel Martel didn't even have to move. Max Parra fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 66th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Gabriel Martel having to interfere. In the 67th match minute, Santiago FC was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Aaron Rentería to maneuver through the defense. In a very dangerous position, a player in Argen-Taino fell when an opponent tried to get the ball from him in the 90th minute. Penalty! The goalkeeper, Victor Ulibarri, was totally fooled by Santiago FC's Leandro Nadal, who 93 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. In the 96th minute of the match, Hipólito Parra got a very nice opportunity to score, but Victor Ulibarri was well-placed and pushed the ball away from the goal at the left post. Victor Ulibarri made a fantastic save in the 100th minute, when Hipólito Parra sent off a good shot on target.
