Spectators: 6881 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1881, VIP seats: 0) It was fairly windy and cold on the field when Arquímedes Navarro kicked off to start the match. In the 2nd minute, Olegario Peguero hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Rudy Páez made a wonderful reflex save on a shot from Arquímedes Navarro in the 7th minute of play. In the 11th minute Paulino Pintos shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Emanuel Beltrán saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. Matayaya AC's Rudy Páez played magnificently when he managed to stop the ball from hitting the goal, after a sharp shot by Rubén Muñoz in the 17th minute of play. Ovidio Rodríguez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 18th minute. Rudy Páez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Paulino Pintos fell near the penalty area in the 20th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Matayaya AC's protests and gave Paulino Pintos a yellow card for diving instead. A collision led to Matayaya AC getting a freekick after 20 minutes play. Paulino Pintos hit a great ball. Paulino Pintos received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 22nd minute. Emanuel Beltrán tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. In the 24th minute, one of Matayaya AC:s players had the ball in front of the goal but got pushed and fell. The referee felt it was an obvious case and blew a penalty for Matayaya AC. The goalkeeper, Rudy Páez, was totally fooled by Sanchez AD's Geovanny De Castro, who 27 minutes into the game made a penalty shot that went in on the goalkeeper's left side. Paulino Pintos struck a weak shot in the 31st minute. Emanuel Beltrán didn't even have to move as the ball rolled over the line well wide of the goal. A wasted opportunity for Matayaya AC. Arquímedes Navarro sent away a hard shot on goal in the 34th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Arquímedes Navarro received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 39th minute. Rudy Páez tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Kenny Albam fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 44th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Beltrán having to interfere. Matayaya AC's Paulino Pintos got a good chance for a goal in the 46th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Arquímedes Navarro recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 47th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal.

When the second half was about to start, both teams quickly lined up and Paulino Pintos made a kick off. Rudy Páez showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Arquímedes Navarro in the 53rd minute of the match. Arquímedes Navarro fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 54th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Rudy Páez having to interfere. In the 57th minute, Paulino Pintos ran past the defenders and hit a shot which went straight ahead into goal. Emanuel Beltrán was frozen by the shot and now it was 1-1. After 59 played minutes Matayaya AC got a freekick which was hit by Kenny Albam. If Ovidio Rodríguez had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 61st minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. In the 64th minute Arquímedes Navarro shot on, it seemed, an open goal, but Rudy Páez saw the ball coming and threw himself on it before it passed the goal line. After some fancy dribbling in the 65th minute, Paulino Pintos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matayaya AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Pintos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Beltrán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. Rubén Muñoz charged in rather forcefully in the 66th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Rubén Muñoz the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. A collision led to Sanchez AD getting a freekick after 77 minutes play. After some fancy dribbling in the 84th minute, Paulino Pintos managed to get in a good position for a shot. Matayaya AC's supporters rose to their feet, but Paulino Pintos was a bit off balance and shot the ball just wide of the left post. Emanuel Beltrán breathed a sigh of relief and went to take the goal kick. With a couple of smart ball manuevers Arquímedes Navarro in the 87th managed to get into a good position. With a left leg Rudy Páez saved Matayaya AC from getting behind. In the 91st minute, Arquímedes Navarro left the goalkeeper for dead before tapping the ball into the right side of the net. The Sanchez AD fans were clearly happy with the effort and the scoreboard reflected the new score: 2-1. Sanchez AD's supporters were highly satisfied with the result. They cheered their team of the pitch, having watched them win a very even match.
