Spectators: 6859 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1859, VIP seats: 0) The mood of the audience was pleasant when Ezequiel Montañas made the kick off which started today's match. After some careless play in the Independencia defense, Ezequiel Montañas kicked a shot that curved into the net to the right of Abraham Elizondo. The Independencia fans voiced their displeasure as they felt that Abraham Elizondo should have stopped the shot. Iñigo Jurado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 10th minute. Eugenio Cifuentes tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Alexander Romero's shot was meant for the net just under the crossbar, but Eugenio Cifuentes read the situation well and was quickly in position to make a wonderful save in the 16th minute of play. Vázquez AFC's Eugenio Cifuentes proved his good apprehension of play when he, in the 17th minute of the match, managed to save Vázquez AFC from getting a goal against them. In the 20th minute of the match Cirino Alonso sent off a long shot with destination to the right of the goalkeeper, but Abraham Elizondo skillfully saved the ball. Dimas Angulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 22nd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Elizondo having to interfere. Eugenio Cifuentes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Iñigo Jurado, who was totally free with the ball in the 27th minute. Julio Ojeda's late challenge caught a Vázquez AFC's player on the shin and left him crawling around in pain. The referee blew his whistle and produced the yellow card. Julio Ojeda helped the player get up and apologised. In the 28th match minute, Independencia was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Julio Ojeda to maneuver through the defense. After having played for 29 minutes, Dimas Angulo managed to get in a good position for a shot on goal. Vázquez AFC's supporters crossed their fingers, but Dimas Angulo was, after a quick turn that froze the defenders, out of balance and shot the ball just to the right of the goal. Eugenio Cifuentes acted impressively in front of the goal and made a superb save when he, in the 31st minute, took the ball on the long shot from Feliciano Méndez. In the 33rd minute, Conrado Cortez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Eugenio Cifuentes showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Edwar Fierro, who was totally free with the ball in the 34th minute. Ezequiel Montañas received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 40th minute. They would have to work harder if they wanted to turn things around in the second half.

The wind increased when Iñigo Jurado made the kick off in the second half. Abraham Elizondo showed his good apprehension of the play when he made a fantastic save on a shot from Ezequiel Montañas, who was totally free with the ball in the 51st minute. When Dimas Angulo came up free with the goalie in the 53rd minute, the Vázquez AFC fans jumped to their feet. But the shot missed the goal by a fraction of an inch, and the fans sat back down disappointed that Dimas Angulo couldn't finish the play. Ezequiel Montañas had several of the Independencia's defenders around him in the penalty area when he, after 60 minutes of play, received a pass and succeeded in some way to shoot a shot which went straight ahead into goal. This resulted in a 0-2 score and a disappointed Abraham Elizondo as he didn't even see the shot coming. The supporters of Vázquez AFC booed when Independencia was adjudged a doubtful freekick after 64 match minutes in a wonderful position. Melky Willick didn't get a good kick on the ball. Alexander Romero might have been able to make a better finish in the 68th minute when he tried to place a hard shot over Eugenio Cifuentes. Instead the ball went over the crossbar and out. Alexander Romero ran back to his position shaking his head. Iñigo Jurado sent away a hard shot on goal in the 75th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. Dimas Angulo kicked well hit freekick during the 78th minute of the match. Iñigo Jurado received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 80th minute. After 89 minutes of play Independencia's Julio Ojeda was too eager in his attempt to stop his opponent and brought him down. With that he got his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. In the 90th minute, Julio Ojeda hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Dimas Angulo fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 93rd minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Abraham Elizondo having to interfere. They errupted in celebration when the whistle blew, knowing Vázquez AFC would go home with victory in their luggage after a match that easily could have ended differently.
