Spectators: 6844 (Terracing: 5000, Seating: 1844, VIP seats: 0) Barahona's Ciro Pinto started the match with a crisp pass. The crowd had been anticipating this game for weeks and the excitement in the stadium was easily visible. Geovanny Arrendel showed brilliant goalkeeper skills when he caught the ball after a hard shot from Ciro Pinto in the 3rd minute of the match. If Ruben Otero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 10th minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. Ciro Pinto recieved an excellent pass in front of the goal in the 13th minute. Unfortunately, he received the ball on his off foot and could only manage a weak shot that went over the goal. Leonidas Báez charged in rather forcefully in the 17th minute of the match, and managed to knock his opponent down. The referee showed Leonidas Báez the yellow card, and asked the players to shake hands before continuing play. In the 18th minute, Leonidas Báez hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. Barahona's Rubén Lugo got a good chance for a goal in the 18th minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. The audience thought a goal was coming when Rubén Lugo got free with Geovanny Arrendel in the 20th minute, but the goalkeeper managed to catch the ball with a huge effort. 27 minutes into the match, Fundación's goal looked a bit too open when Ciro Pinto came free, but Geovanny Arrendel reached the ball before it rolled over the goal line. Ruben Otero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 28th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Almaguer having to interfere. Leonidas Báez received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 30th minute. Emanuel Almaguer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. When Leonidas Báez was, once again, overly rough in his play he received his second yellow card and was ordered off the ground. 33 minutes had been played. After 35 played minutes Fundación got a freekick which was hit by Leonidas Báez. Chus Carbajal was probably a little too eager to shoot when he, in the 36th played minute, shot the ball from way out. The shot was hard, but the ball flew wide of the goal. When Mel Ibarra fell near the penalty area in the 39th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Fundación's protests and gave Mel Ibarra a yellow card for diving instead. In the 39th match minute, Fundación was awarded a freekick, the ball was picked up by Mel Ibarra to maneuver through the defense. If Ruben Otero had kept his shot down it would have been a goal in the 42nd minute. The ball went over the crossbar and out instead. After fighting hard for a draw in the first half, the players were able to take a much needed rest.

The players of the away team seemed most concentrated when Ruben Otero stepped up to make the kick off in the second half. Thanks to some nice foot action and superb ball handling César Ojeda in the 55th minute a chance for a shot on goal. With an extended leg and a bit of luck Geovanny Arrendel prevented the ball from getting in the gole. Ruben Otero fired away a screaming shot towards the goal in the 56th minute, but the shot went just over the crossbar without Emanuel Almaguer having to interfere. Barahona's Rubén Lugo got a good chance for a goal in the 61st minute, but he totally mistimed the shot and it went over the crossbar. Ciro Pinto sent away a hard shot on goal in the 62nd minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. When Rubén Lugo fell near the penalty area in the 65th minute he thought he would be awarded a free kick. The referee ignored Barahona's protests and gave Rubén Lugo a yellow card for diving instead. In the 65th minute, Rubén Lugo hit a crossing free kick to the open man running down the field. In the 68th minute the ball was on its way in behind Barahona's goalkeeper Emanuel Almaguer, but with the help of a sacrificing defense, he could catch the ball at the crossbar. Rubén Lugo received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 74th minute. Geovanny Arrendel tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. The referee was alert and spotted a serious foul by Arnie Parra during the 82nd minute. The player immediately received a yellow card. Geovanny Arrendel went to the wrong direction when Chus Carbajal was taking care of the penalty kick which however missed the goal. César Ojeda hit a great freekick 86 minutes into the match. After 87 minutes of play, the referee blew the whistle. It was a penalty for Barahona! Arnie Parra shot the penalty kick by force right in the crossbar. No goal. With a little luck, Barahona's Emanuel Almaguer got control of the ball when Ruben Otero tried to sneak it across the goal line. Ruben Otero received a nice pass in the box and took a hard shot in the 93rd minute. Emanuel Almaguer tensed up and prepared to dive, but the shot went over the goal with him having to interfere. Rubén Lugo sent away a hard shot on goal in the 96th minute, but the ball went just over the crossbar and out. A very good chance. The final whistle blew with the score still tied, and both teams left the pitch thinking about the missed chances that could have given their team the win.
